@aquatician.
before she can begin to take in the sights of the new world, she can feel the warm kiss of sun on her skin and the gentle breeze blowing at the silken fabric of her skirts. in an instant, she is in love with this world, though she knows not its name nor anything else of it. but flowers can only thrive with sun and warmth, and she is no different. with winter looming so close in her own realm, carrying an ominous bite on the wind that disagrees with her in every way, it seems that this place knows little of winter --
and she could grow accustomed to such a place.
her eyes only confirm what she had felt upon her arrival, presenting her with a lively crowd and myriad colors -- never a dull moment, it would seem, as bustling people shuffle between market stalls and fountains, carrying no shortage of intriguing wares. the faint sound of drums and clapping can be heard in the distance, and she chooses to follow the sound of the music. where there is music, there is dancing, and with the mood this world has put her in, she believes herself capable of dancing until nightfall. who knows, she might even meet someone interesting in the process.
though the music is unlike the dreary, dragging tunes and bardic songs she knew in Westeros, the change in pace is hardly a bad thing. on the contrary, she can hardly keep her steps from bouncing into whatever dances she knows. but she resists, remaining on the fringes of the dancing crowd, eyes trained on the feet of those already moving. with luck, the dance does not seem too hard to pick up -- it is reminiscent of at least one she knows, with a few subtle differences that seem to make all the difference. most notably, it does require a partner. giddy off the salty air and the lively aura of the entire region, she turns to another friendly face, beaming wide and childish.
“ Care to join me? ”
