Raleigh didn't think he would ever see Chuck flustered, since the kid was all cool confidence and ego. But part way through a conversation, he seemed to become flustered.

"You're so dense," Chuck said suddenly, red creeping up his neck.

"What?" Raleigh replied, surprised and more than a little bit out of it.

"I'm trying to flirt with you, okay!?" Chuck almost yelled, then seemed almost surprised by his own outburst.

There'd been a lot going on in the shatterdome, but Chuck never thought Raleigh would be that distracted by everything going on.
