Sub vs dub for me is an old argument. I'm remembering so many 90s anime where the English was flat, emotionless or way over acted. There were also many that were fabulous but it wasn't the norm if it wasn't mainstream. That argument isn't the same today though. Anime is more mainstream and more care goes into it. For me now it's just a preference for how the voices sound in Japanese. English is jarring for me, but not bad at all!

i don’t often venture into discourse so i wouldn’t know what the hot arguments are today with people fighting sub v dub but you’re totally right. i think VA in general has improved (anime or not). 

but yeah i like how japanese sounds more than i do english, but yes, that preference doesn’t mean that English VAs are doing a bad job!

Pure curiosity because I know you and Aoi have done lots of planning and world building: do you have a rough idea how many stories are going to be in your "l am..." series? Not me trying to rush you writing. Just curious how far you planned and if you have an ending in mind. 😋

It’s the current one and an epilogue. So as long as we stay on course, just these last two. Now, how many chapters will be in each? Nooooo idea at all. We’ve had more chapters per arch as we get through the planned arcs. Not to mention our chapters are each really long now. Our first chapter in our first arc was only 8 pages and the most recent chapters were around 34 pages each. 

So yeah, two possibly very long arcs left. hhh

It blows my mind that you do art on your phone. Like how large is your phone? Assuming you use a stylus. The detail and emotion you get from your sketchy drawings is awesome and I hope I can get there and fast!

I have a galaxy note 9 specifically for the stylus and pen pressure it has and thank you!

If i had a computer i would be able to do more than just the sketches i make here and would be able to write better bc i do better on a laptop keybeard than a phone touchscreen

Yes! Stuff like that, it doesn’t make sense for it to not be canon! Plus with how some of the pokemon are it just makes sense for their to be variations you know??? if a creature is a literal plant its not gonna be only one plant if a creature is something like a cat theyre not all gonna have the same coat unless theyre inbred clones like bananas

Very nice! Did you use a pencil sketch first? Any inking?

In the video I uploaded to patreon looks better the process, but in short, I made the sketch with graphite pencil, then I used only copics markers and some polychrome pencils (for details). (◡‿◡✿)
