yes, we know James "manipulated" the game, but what if r planned ALL of this first? like even before they started dating, r stalked James, knew all of his friends and family, planned how they would meet, when they'll start having a thing, etc, but when it's official she pretends everything/everyone it's new to her, cause she wants it to "flow", and she only plays the innocent, shy, damsel in distress just to James to get her~

Like imagine reader sees him on TV or something and she decides she HAS to have him. So she literally becomes a stalker, figures out where he practices, his game schedules, where he eats, where he celebrates, everything. She follows him around, and she finds ways to always be lingering. Never right in front of him, nowhere he would notice, but enough that his subconscious would recognize her face.
And then, she gets a job at the catering company that caters Every. Single. Event. She makes sure to stand near his table, to smile shyly, play innocent.
And he falls for it. More than she even thought, she finds that James seems to be just as obsessed with her (though she doesn’t know the extent.)
And then they continue to think they’re manipulating each other but really it’s just them falling deeper and deeper in love because they just get each other, you know?
