Anyway, along with an updated image for base Arakna, lemme introduce Digitalis Arakna (hair can grab you like hand), and a redesigned Venus Arakna (hair mouth is still there, but less noticeable.)

I didn’t like the Venus design (made big spider lady look like an ant, which was not what I was after), so she got a redesign. Looks like... peacock spider. Some lore details under cut.

While it’s incredibly rare to discover (if only because they’re that reclusive), an arakna may reverse its evolution temporarily as a defense mechanism, breaking out its evolved form to scare off foes. As a result, an arakna may evolve into different branches of its evolutionary tree.

For example, only midnight percivals evolve into alpha percivals. Cyclone and knight percivals cannot evolve into alpha percivals.

Araknas can straight up ignore this, which is why. despite being the base form, an arakna may still evolve into a venus arakna as their first evolution, even if the usual way (on paper) is to evolve from a digitalis arakna.
