Felkészülés [11]
Páros: AraMura Fandom: Danball Senki Wars Korhatár: nincs Figyelmeztetés: Szóval ez egy drabble. Kezeljük is úgy.

Because I'm worth it. Nah, mostly because I'm an evil sorceress who was in a really terrible mood around march. But finally I collected enought strength to translate it! Enjoy!
World-shattering disasters are not necessarily ignited by wars. There is no need for mass slaughters or human cruelty. The formula is much more simpler than that, because to relive the same experience one needs nothing but human emotions and the right moment. After all, the thoughts generated by honest feelings will get tangled by time, surrounding the victim like a spider's web, slowly but surely suffocating them. It's like a special noose for every human on Earth. It can guide someone out of the tangled labyrinth of despair, but these kind of ropes can act like a double-edged swords.
Because they almost always end up in the hands of another person, but there is no guarantee about the outcomes.
On top of that, anyone can tighten the noose. Be it friend or foe, or an unknown face. No one knows who will end up with the end of the rope when Fate starts ringing its bells shouting: Pull it! But one thing is sure. The final pull will come from the most unexpected person in their life.
Until that moment, the person who'd gotten entangled in this malicious web will be tortured by anxiety, and slowly but surely they will be paralyzed by their own emotions. Two of those play an extremely important role in this tragedy: Fear of the unknown, fear of the future.
They're not picky about their victims, like many other emotions. These two act like the main arteries of the whole system, while the same time they're serving as forerunners for the sudden loss or as others called it: a disaster.
And after a long struggle this noose, weaved from thoughts, eventually tightened around Hoshihara Hikaru's pale neck.
One night Hikaru's roommate, the infamous Sena Arata arrived home with a huge grin on his face. Of course he appeared like that way too often in their doorway, yet around this time of the day it hadn't predicted too much good for Hikaru's future. Considering the fact that Muraku'd spent the whole afternoon in Arata's company and seeing how his roommate was jumping like an untrained puppy after its first walk in the forest, his heart unintentionally clenched in his chest.
Yet without any unnecessary words Hikaru welcomed him like he always does. Unfortunately, it seemed Arata was waiting for something. He had something big to tell now.
Hikaru didn't intend to talk with him, fearing the worst, but when Arata'd stepped next to his chair, and held onto the top rail, the blood froze in his veins. Hikaru couldn't help but look at the boy when the red-head leant to his eye-level. He tried to lean away, but Arata followed him bearing the strong scent of sweets and something unknown. The latter made him feel uncomfortable in his seat, because he finally realized what was going on.
Even in the weak light of his desk lamp he could see the flushed cheeks and the strange light flickering in the boy's eyes. The shining smile and affection was not for him, and this terrified Hikaru.
If he had a choice, he would've tried to run away. He would've done anything if that meant escaping from the unavoidable fate.
"Howdy!"
"I was about to lock the door." he said dryly, looking away from Arata. He was in no mood to talk.
"That's not very nice of you, you know?!" the red-head finally left the blonde's personal space and flopped down on his own bed.
"Says the one, who forgets his key at home and makes his roommate stay up for him." he tried to say it to tease Arata, but it sounded more like a weak insult thanks to his voice.
His reaction must've hit Arata out of balance because for a while he was only crumpling a piece of paper in his hands, lost deep in his own thoughts. "But guess what?" he asked hesitantly. Too bad, he tried to lighten up the mood, but only earned the opposite result.
"I'm sorry to butt in, but-"
Hikaru couldn't help but wince at that voice.
"So… This afternoon after we went out with Muraku to see if we could find books for the exam, then… Then after that he showed me a café! We found the books too, by the way. Once we need to go there with the others too! The food there was superb, especially those waffles and the Austrian pancakes! I would say it was even better than the parfait at the Swallow café!"
Arata carelessly went on blabbering about his experiences while the blond boy sitting at the desk was immobilized by fear. On the outside he showed the opposite, just a cold and bored Hikaru, who kept nodding at certain parts, instead of correcting the errors in Arata's story, but inside he was suffering from the feeling of loss what approached him at a crazy speed.
The story went on about the greatness of the cafe and of course, Muraku. Who else? But it had to end with a fitting punchline. Or else all of Arata's effort to present an enjoyable story would've gone to waste.
"So believe it or not." at this part Arata held a mysterious little pause, so he could say out the last sentence with one breath. "Muraku and I are officially dating now!"
When Arata grew silent, waiting for praise, something pierced Hikaru's soul. It was cold as ice and left a freezing, tingling scar behind. For Hikaru this meant the beginning of a countdown and the ending of a war.
"Finally." he muttered under his breath, and couldn't help but smirk as he was trying to hide the pain. He was worried that even one word could make him lose his mask and reveal that ugly monster that appeared when the noose finished its job.
Tears welled up in his eyes as he turned back to his book, but no matter how hard he tried to keep the teardrops in their place, they let out quietly clumping sound when they landed on the pages. As more and more joined them the small water drops made the miserably shaking letters seem blurry on the soaked paper.
On that fated day, Hoshihara Hikaru suffered an all-out defeat against Houjou Muraku in a battle he never really had a full participation in the first place. This time Juliet was faster than the Sleeping Beauty and took the initiative to steal what was hers from the beginning.
Later that evening when he watched the bed next to his, he let his emotion break free for the first time. Fat teardrops rolled down his face as his expression turned into a twisted smile. Alone, he wept. The shard what pierced his heart ached even more than before.
The web was gone. However, it was questionable whether Hikaru will survive this disaster or not. The world went on for the time being.

Title: check yes juliet Characters: sena arata houjou muraku A/N: i intervene this slow arahika drabble challenge with an aramura fic inspired from basically everything about romeo and juliet (the title should be enough hint what my inspiration was) originally the first draft inside my head for this was set in a medieval fantasy oops what happened there i wonder (totally didnt kill them there. totally.)
Run baby, run don't ever look back they'll tear us apart if we give them the chance. --Check Yes Juliet, We The Kings--
-
Everyone knew what's going on. It's too obvious from Arata's side--he probably didn't even think of hiding it--and it's subtle from Muraku, yet only someone dumb wouldn't notice.
The long gazes in the cafeteria, the locked eyes when they pass each other in the hallways and--God save the person who still doesn't see it--the days when they spend time together in the Shopping District if neither has a mission, which is quite a rare occasion.
When you see navy blue paired with grey anywhere, you know it's Sena Arata and Houjou Muraku without a second glance. And there's really no other term for their duo-only bonding activities outside school other than dates. It makes one wonder how long it's been going on, because when most noticed it was too late to pinpoint when exactly it started.
But of course, every fairytale has it's evil witch.
In Arata and Muraku's, the evil witch comes in the form of the very thing that brought them together in the first place.
War Time.
Separated by their virtual countries, the pressure is hard on both of them. Arata might have it a tad bit easy considering how small his country is (he brushes off the remarks of the other platoons that don't exactly trust him) but for a well-known man like Muraku, there's a lot of sneers and jeers. Rumours fly like wild pigeons and yet the lot of them aren't even close to the truth. Every win or loss decides what kind of rumour will come up next.
Arata slings his bag around himself and darts off the minute school is over. His and Muraku's platoons don't have a mission today, so without words exchanged they agreed on another walk home together--or more like Arata sending Muraku to the Swan Manor and then going his own way to the Duck Manor. Once in a while they do make some detours. Arata hopes today will be like that.
Eyes follow him as he makes his way to Muraku's class, which is just a few rooms away. He chooses to ignore them, as he usually does, and breaks into a smile when he sees Muraku exiting. Their steps move in sync almost instantly as he caught up with the other.
"Hey." He greets. Muraku returns his smile. "Hi."
"Swallow Café is serving a special cake today."
"Why doesn't it surprise me that you know that?"
Arata grins. "So, the café?"
"I'm afraid you will have to cancel your plans." Ivan Krosky says with a hard face. He's standing right in their path, blocking them, and looking straight at Muraku without blinking. He's making it look like Arata's not even there. Where and when he appeared, the two of them aren't sure. "Houjou Muraku." He says.
"Commander. Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Indeed there is." Only after he says that does he spare Arata a glance. His face looks like he's staring at a rat. Ivan, commander of Rossius and teacher at Kamui Daimon. Not a man to be messed with and Arata knows that.
Before either three can say anything more, a new voice interrupts them.
"Sena Arata."
The called redhead winced as he turns around and meets eye-to-eye with Mito Reina, his own nation's commander. "I'd like to have a word with you." The woman says, causing Arata to gulp. He and Muraku look at each other before he leaves the other's side and approaches the woman.
"Yes?"
Reina doesn't answer him. Her gaze is locked on his face, much like Ivan with Muraku earlier--only without the disgust. Just contemplation or examination.
And then she sighs.
"The reports I've received. Are they all true?"
"... What reports?"
"That you and Houjou Muraku are a couple."
His face turns crimson for a split second, before his composure returns and his mind works. Why would she ask about his and Muraku's relationship? He figures the answer is obvious. Never trust the ones who mingle with other nations. He supposes he should've expected to be confronted about the matter soon but maybe it slipped his mind.
With an almost nonchalant shrug he says, "Yeah, we are. What's the problem with that?"
"You do realize he is part of the enemy?"
"Only in the Second World he is. But outside, he means something else entirely to me," the redhead's eyes narrow. "He's my world."
A few seconds tick pass as Reina stares at him, almost incredulously. She clears her throat and shifts her feet, crossing her arms in the process. "We're in war, Arata. We don't have time to play house with soldiers from another country. I suggest you break contact with him immediately to avoid anymore suspicions and future disruptions that will cost Jenock."
Her words are like a spark to him and he's a matchstick waiting to burn. Arata realizes that he's sick of this. He's sick of everyone telling him that this is wrong. That he shouldn't be with Muraku just because they're on different sides.
Looking over his shoulder, he sees Ivan seeming to be scolding Muraku, in the same way Reina scolded him--only Ivan looks scarier. Muraku is holding eye contact like a good soldier would but even from this distance Arata can see his tight jaw and clenched fists.
He's honestly fed up.
Arata breaks into a run, missing the gasp from Reina, and grabs Muraku by his arm. Ivan, surprised by the sudden outburst, steps sideways to avoid them--something he regrets later as Arata and Muraku runs past him and a bunch of other busybody students.
"Arata?!" Muraku tries to not trip over his own feet and soon enough he manages to get into speed with Arata as they slow down. What possessed Arata to do this, he can't say. They pass a few Rossians and Jenocks, who can only stare with their questions in their mouths at the unusual sight. He would be staring too.
Somehow along the way, Arata had moved from dragging his arm to leading the way with his hand. Even though his gloves are in the way it's still nice. In the midst of it he wonders if they can hold hands again one day at another place, without his accessories.
When the school gates come in sight, Arata's grip on his hand tightens and it feels like they're moving faster, breaking through the wind like an arrow. He's starting to lose his breath. Where in the world is Arata going?
"I don't care what they think of us," Arata begins, both of them still running. He turns his face to look at Muraku, a bit out of breath. "I don't care if they say we're not meant to be because we're enemies," he grins. "We'll show them wrong."
Muraku doesn't know what to say. Arata's never said words like those with such confidence. He can feel his heart against his rib cage and he's uncertain if its because of the running or Arata or their linked hands. A combination of the three?
It's Arata. He's sure it's Arata.
When the redhead looks forward again, Muraku's finds himself falling for him all over again.

Az eszme, amire annak idején a Második Világ épült, kártyavárként omlott össze a béke átmeneti illúziójával karöltve, mikor a világ tudomására jutottak a Kamui szigetén történt események.
A közelmúltban elszenvedett sérülések teljesen megbénították.
A gyilkos gépezet, emlékké vált.
~noina*miria~
Elvégre a sarokba szorított állatok a legveszedelmesebbek.
A patkány mozgolódni kezdett.
Bár arcára, elégedett mosoly ült ki, Muraku óvatosan haladt, minden lépését úgy tervezve, hogy jól védett helyen maradjon, ahonnan nehéz becélozni. Hiszen az ellenség ott volt. Szinte minden sarokban.
~ender*prodea~
Mégis a valamennyire otthonos környezet ellenére, Muraku szívében egyre nőtt a szorongás láthatatlan ellenfele miatt.
Mikor névtelenekkel hozta össze a sors, aligha törődött velük. Viszont bárhol felismerte a megregulázhatatlan élénkvörös hajtincseket, amik a katonai sapka alól keresték kiutat. Most, a valaha császár kék színben pompázó jenock kabátot azonnal átáztatta a katona mellkasából előbuggyanó vér baljósan futott szét a szövet mentén virágot bontva a seb körül. A lövés minden kétséget kizáróan pontos volt. Túlságosan is.
A jég, ami körbezárta, szilánkokra tört szét.
~fotomi~
Görcsösen szorította a hideg testet, üres tekintettel bámulva a véráztatta szönyeget.
