“I- Well, I guess I do, but it’s kind of- complicated.” He breathes a deep inhale, breathing the lungful out in a drawn-out, tired sigh that’s accompanied by fingers pushing through his hair as his eyes stare unfocused at some distant spot on the floor. 

“I understand that it’s a common thing to happen throughout the galaxy, and that it’s not something that Jedi are supposed to do, but…” He sighs again, crossing his arms, then lifting his hand to rest over his mouth.

“But, there are times when I can see why some people turn to it, and- And there are times I want it, myself. Not often-!” He’s quick to add the disclaimer, looking up with slightly widened eyes. “And, I’d never actually go through with it, just, I can understand the reasons some people have for pursuing it, like- Motivation, and whatnot, and there are times when I feel like I’m fighting the Separatists not to protect the people they’re currently attacking, or not just for that, but also to avenge all the people that have been hurt, or lost their homes, or their family or their lives or whatever because of the war, and there are times when I find I can keep fighting not because of my training, but because there are bodies of my men, or my master’s hurt, and–” He stops, shakes his head.

“But, it’s not proper. It’s something I’m trying to grow out of, to rise above - we have to be able to move past the wrongs committed by both sides if we ever want this war to end.”

Hunk emerged from under their ship, sitting up straight and dusting his hands off, “First off, your pipe is completely broken. It needs to be replaced. It’s also rotted away. I’m not sure how you flew this thing without it completely crashing on you!” He was genuinely surprised by this; it was barely hanging on.

“Second I need to familiarize myself with the technology; I never really seen anything like it before.” The paladin said with wonder beaming in his eyes, it would be a challenge, sure. But, he liked the challenge and surely he could help the android fix the problem.
