Widow walked down the hall, head held high. She knew what was next. She knew her reconditioning was going to happen. Her feelings and emotions started betraying her again. Memories that stirred up old feelings needed to be put behind mental lock and key. Talon had noticed her emotions before she could properly hide them. 

She was a weapon, nothing more. “Sombra, you are to watch this time. Your other partner had already witnessed this before.” She tensed as she heard who would be watching. She had no right to stop them. She couldn’t request to suffer on her own. Her jaw clenched at the thought. Someone else seeing her vulnerable, especially her was unacceptable.  

She turned her cold gaze to her, her words cold. “Do not dare give me sympathy later.”

three months gone and the only explanation received is the click upon tile of her familar strut.

widowmaker floats above the linoleum at over six feet, in a coat that hugs her emaciated figure and flares outward at her hips. a glance around the room and her tongue darts from her lips like a dagger, coating the tops of her teeth with deep thought.

" sombra, “ she begins. foreign consonants are lost in her pronunciation. “mmm....”

there’s a pause that carries the weight of their nights together. good sex, but no different. ( we promised this to stay physical. )

“ you seem well. “

“¿Qué dijiste?” She retorted quickly, her eyebrow quirking when she heard the harsh words slip the spider’s delicate tongue. She was a woman of few words, often she’d just simply ignore the hacker if she was talking or just brush her off if she tried to help in any sort of way. It wasn’t often something got the upper hand of the assassin, so when shots were fired and Amélie went down, without even realizing it, Sombra had rushed to her side.

“I’m just trying to help you.” Sombra spat, her hands curling into tightly wound fists at her side. Why did she even bother caring? She was nothing but a nuisance to the French woman. She heard she sound of gunshots again and ducked, watching the bullets whiz past her before grabbing Widowmaker and mutter, “I’m getting us out of here..”  

“We have a job to do,” Widow spat right back. “And unlike yourself, I like to complete my missions.” 

The bullet had lodged itself in her upper right thigh, and she slammed down a biotic field to stop the worst of the bleeding so she could get the job done. 

“If you do not want to cover me, then so be it.” 

As the gunfire died down for a moment, Widow brought her visor down, and grappled to a higher level, shooting down their enemies as they reloaded.

It was another day where the good and the bad seemed to blend too far together in his body.

Flesh tearing itself to pieces and putting it back together bit by bit, a searing burning sensation that seemed to engulf what being he had no choice but to be aware of… it was getting more and more frequent, threatening to drive what little sanity remained in the creature away.

It was how he found himself sitting among the wirings and computers—her little corner of the base, as it were. He hated it, found it unnerving that she could find comfort with such things (though his own quarters weren’t much different), but if there was a fault in the implants, she was likely the one who could find it and fix it.

Reaper could positively feel his skin itch at the thought. “… It’s getting too risky like this, Sombra. It needs to be fixed.”

It’s less of a threat and more of an advisory. Though the medic holds no smile she holds no hostility as of yet. There’s something much more important at hand than a fight.
