Flynn: Flynn found himself wondering the halls- bored with nothing to do. He was tossing a baseball in his hands, throwing it at the wall and catching it, repeating the action.
Jersey: Jersey hadn't had much to do since she arrived at the compound, knowing she would be stuck in the building forever. She aimlessly walked around the building in search for someone to talk to. As she walked buy, she saw a familiar blonde, Flynn. She ran over towards him, smiling widely. "Flynn!"
Flynn: Flynn jumped a little when he heard his name being called, and, not paying attention momentarily was distracted and his baseball hit him in the face. "Jesus!" he yelled, cupping his eye. With one hand covering his eye he looked behind him, seeing Jersey. "Hey!" he said.
Jersey: The red-head watched as the baseball hit Flynn righti n the eye. She winced as she could imagine how it felt. "Oh my god, are you okay? I'm so sorry!" She apologized as she hurried over towards him. "I was going to ask you what you were up to but you're obviously getting beat up by baseballs.." She chuckled softly. Flynn: He chuckled, wincing as he accidentally pressed against his wounds. "No- no, it's fine. This kind of stuff happens to me daily, I'm okay," he said. He looked up at her, asking quietly, "Did you have something planned?" Jersey: She sighed softly as she listened to him speak about this happening daily to him, feeling a bit bad for the poor guy. "Hey, maybe you can get an eyepatch or something. Become a pirate ya'know." She laughed and smiled at him. "Not really. I just kinda want to go outside and I was wondering if maybe you'd want to come along. I mean, I get it if you don't want to but no one else is really up for it nor do I know anyone else." Flynn: Flynn sighed as he looked over at Jersey, still caressing his eye. There would probably be a big, black bruise soon and he had no idea how he was going to explain it to Axel. "I don- I don't know. It might be too soon." Jersey: "It's totally fine if you don't want to go. I get it. It's just Ryder wouldn't let me go and even if he did, he wouldn't want me to go alone. And it's just so boring in here. I want to see if I can find stuff for little Lux and yeah.." She hoped he would fall into her pleading. She really wanted to go outside and she hadn't trusted most people here yet. Flynn: Flynn -knew- Axel was going to kill him. Maybe. Probably. But- Jersey looked so upset, and he really was a sucker for pleading. He nodded, smiling. "Sure, sure, but we have to be quiet." Jersey: A wide smile appeared on Jersey's face as a small squeal escaped from her lips. She was glad to be leaving, knowing Ryder would most likely freak out on her when she got back. "We'll be fine. We won't be out for long. But I think you should go like check your eye or something quick." Flynn: Flynn chuckled, walking down the hallway and ducking into a nearby bathroom. He looked at his eye, black and purple covering half of the sensitive skin. "Damnit," he said, shaking his head. "Stupid baseball." He tossed it against the tub's wall, the sound of it echoing softly inside of the room, and headed towards Jersey again. "Ready?" he asked quietly. Jersey: She watched as he walked away, getting more jittery at the thought of going outside. He needed to hurry, she wanted to be outside again. She wasn ever one to be able to just be locked in. She shook her head, heading for the exit without him, knowing it was a bad idea but at the moment she didn't care. IT wasn't exactly the freedom she wanted as she knew she had to be careful but it was a start. Flynn: Flynn hadn't expected Jersey to not be in the hallway, after he asked the question, looking up. "Shit," he muttered to himself. He figured she'd left without him, which was a really bad idea. He grabbed a knife, softly padding towards the exit.
Jersey: The thought of Jersey being weaponless and no skills of fighting whatsoever crept into her mind. She would turn back but she knew she wanted to be outside. She roamed around for a few minutes, going into random buildings and finding a few things for Lux to play with. As she walked out of a building, she spotted a walker instantly. A small gasp escaped from her lips, dropping everything in her hands. The walker looked straight at her, practically paralyzing Jersey. Flynn: Flynn ran across the desolate land, desperately looking for Jersey. For some strange reason he couldn't find a single trace of her, and he was getting more worried by the second. He continuously and quickly looked through buildings, hoping to find the girl. Jersey: She couldn't just stand there, she knew that. So she ran - ran as far as she could. But the tricky thing is there was more and they kept seeing her and following her whever she went. And she was slowly losing her breathe and her speed. Jersey's only option was to hide, somewhere, anywhere. She ran into a building, knowing they most likely saw her. When she ran in, she saw there was no spots to hide and even worse, more walkers. She ran to the door, only to be cut off by the walkers pouring into the building. The petite red-head looked around the room rapidly, searching for an escape. Flynn: Flynn entered a last building- still no sign of her. If he didn't find her here he'd have to return to the refuge and form a search party. Damnit, he should never have agreed to go out with Jersey, or let her on her own. He was stupid, stupid, stupid, and amazed at how he was still alive. She wasn't in the building. Stupid. He began walking back, but spotted another small building a few hundred feet away he hadn't checked. He sprinted towards it, hoping Jersey was in there. Jersey: Jersey quickly spotted a window, knowing it was her only escape. She ran towards it, climbed up onto the ledge, and and jumped out. Landing on her ankle wrong, she winced in pain. She hobbled out to the building next to it, praying there were no more walkers in it. Luckily, there weren't and there were plenty of places to hide. She hid behind a counter, curling into a ball. A few tears had already poured out by now. She was stupid, really stupid. She shouldn't have left without Flynn. But all she could think about was the walkers coming at her, her thoughts full of worry as she thought it would be her last moment alive. Flynn: Flynn spotted a shadow walking towards the building he was just about to go into. Wary, he pulled out his knife, crouching low in the shadows and he silently crossed the rest of the ground and into the building. He checked behind him, making sure he wasn't being followed before walking slowly inside. He heard whimpering and quickened his pace. Curled in a ball was Jersey, and Flynn gasped. She was shaking. He crouched down next to her. "Jersey, it's Flynn," he whispered. Jersey: As Jersey heard footsteps coming towards her, she covered her mouth and sobbed quietly. "P-Please don't kill me. No, no, no no." She closed her eyes and screamed, fearful for her life. God, she wished she hadn't wanted to leave the building. She felt whoever or whatever it was crouch down beside her, praying that if it was a walker, it would kill her quickly. But she heard Flynn's familiar voice instead of what she thought she would. "F-Flynn?" Jersey opened her eyes slowly and looked over towards him. Flynn: Flynn pulled Jersey into his arms, whispering soothing words to her. "Shhh. They can't get you now. You're safe. You'll be okay," he said quietly, hoping to calm her down. He could hear her sobbing, and he felt a pang of guilt. This was all his fault. Jersey: Jersey felt his arms pull her close as he tried to calm her down. But she knew it would never work. What she saw was worse than she had before. She always had seen the walkers but they never actually went for her, even when she was traveling. "There were so many, Flynn.. What if they c-come back? We need to go, it's not safe for y-you." She stuttered inbetween her sobs. At this point, she cared about him more. Flynn: "Shh. Shhh. We'll get back, but you need to calm down first. You'll attract their attention if you're crying," he whispered. He hugged her close to himself, hoping that she would soon stop crying so they could get back as soon as possible. Jersey: She nodded as she tried to control herself. But all she could see were the walkers coming for her again. She sniffled as she began to calm down a bit, knowing it wouldn't last long. "W-we should go now.." She wiped her eyes, tryign to hurry them up. Jersey didn't want to be by anyone, she wanted to be alone. Flynn: Flynn nodded, grabbing her hand and picking her up. He could still feel her trembling, and he knew he wasn't going to leave her alone tonight.
