- As of No Quarter, Alfswen has started learning how to read! She’s not very good, but she’s trying! She has to hide the worksheets her benefactor gave her, just so nobody finds out her Deep Dark Secret.

33. In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?

At this point, she doesn’t really care for or about criticism. If somebody has a problem with her or how she does things, she’ll nod along and feign interest, but she’ll rarely actually apply it. She’s quite proud, and considers herself a professional in her work.

37. Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status?

Her status, by far. Listen, she’s a former spy whose entire job was to keep an eye on human nobility, her eye was literally carved out of her head, and now she’s a sniper with orders to protect her idiot little sister. She’s far past the point of caring about her honor. She’s more concerned with staying at her current station. It’s a good job, all things considered, and whether people think she’s a good person or not is none of her concern.
