TL;DR Version: The Cajun Deep Fried Turkey sandwich from @Arby’s was good, but not as good as the Deep Fried Turkey Club and nowhere near as good as The Gobbler. The Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie was good, but not worth it as it had as many calories as the sandwich. Full Review: Last night I finished my tour through the Arby’s Deep Fried Turkey (hereinafter “DFT”) line of sandwiches. When I first saw the commercials, the Cajun DFT sandwich was the one I thought looked the best and (by total accident) I saved it for last. That turned out to be a good thing because if I’d tried this one first I’m not sure I’d have tried the other two. The Cajun DFT consists of DFT, Cajun seasoning, Cajun spread, fried onion petals, lettuce, and tomato on a bun. Two things jumped out at me right away: the fried onion petals made the sandwich both saltier and crunchier, while the Cajun spread and seasonings weren’t very prominent. One of my pet peeves is when a flavor that appears in the name of the food item is applied so conservatively as to make me question if it’s even there for half my meal. If you’re gonna try this sandwich, I suggest you ask for them to go heavy on the sauce, but I can’t promise that the result will be good enough to justify getting this sandwich instead of The Gobbler. If you eat just one DFT sandwich this holiday season, get The Gobbler. If you eat two... get another Gobbler. If your taste buds cry out for something different, get the DFT Club with light mayo or risk it all and get the Cajun DFT with heavy sauce. As for the Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie (which I noticed in a display while waiting to order my sandwich), unless you have a huge caloric deficit for the day or you’ve given up on ever being healthy, I do not recommend getting it. It was better than I expected from a fast food cookie, but it had the same 430 calorie price tag as the Cajun DFT and it was gone in an instant. That’s difficult to justify at any point, but particularly for an impulse buy dessert that isn’t anything groundbreaking. #Instareviews #FastFoodLife #Arbys #WeHaveTheMeats #DeepFriedTurkey #Cajun #SaltedCaramel #CookieTime #FastFoodie #ArbysLife
