To-do list almost done: Time to procrastinate
Had it not been for translated works, I would already be dead on day 2 of this semester.
I went to the bookstore intending to only get shakespeare books for class and then i spotted the most powerful shelf of all time.
Goal Setting
Hello! I’m starting off my blog with some goals for the new year and new academic semester!
🔥 Goal 1 (The Biggest Goal): Getting into the Education Major!
My college has some pretty wild rules for the education major, and so they didn’t let me join in my first year. I took more advanced classes and almost all the English Major classes, so hopefully now they will let me join! Fingers crossed for this one!
🔥 Goal 2: Taking Cleaner Notes
I’ve noticed that when I take handwritten notes, I jot them down fairly quickly, but I have trouble reading them after the fact. Towards the end of last semester, I started taking notes on google docs, but I feel like I don’t recall them as well, so I would like to get neater!
🔥 Goal 3: Going to Office Hours more often
This may seem like more of a common sense thing, but it normally makes me quite nervous to go to office hours, so I only go if I feel like its a last ditch effort rather than making sure to go whenever I need help.
🔥 Goal 4: Finishing work more time efficiently
I always get my work in, but I feel like I always give myself unneeded stress by finishing last minute rather than starting in advance. Whenever I start too far in advance though, I always restart it like 40 times, so I would like to try to find a nice balance where I can finish it early but not give myself too much of a chance to obsess over mistakes!
All my other goals aren’t academic related, so I won’t be posting them here, but I hope that I can reach all of these by the end of the upcoming spring semester, but if not by then I’d like to reach it by the end of the year!
I'm going to be going back to college to get my masters! Its a requirement for teaching where I am and I'm excited, even though my college has been making it more difficult than it needs to be to create my class schedule.
I graduated college a month ago, so I probably won’t be resuming with my posts about actual studying until I resume college for my masters, but I hope that its alright to continue posting with other academic related things.
And the books I’ve been reading.
I wish i bought instead of renting
I want to read the comparisons of voiced and voiceless outloud but I am in the silent section of the library
