Years after getting laughed out of @thebluestar & @manitouartcenter as a struggling local,schizophrenic artist, limited, a challenged dichotomy post the only 1night solo-show I ever had at the @cottonwoodcenterforthearts in ’12.. i’ve reeled in the wake of a drunken so millionaire ”philantharapist” who threatened to ruin my career the other year after she almost killed a best friend.Sincerely grateful for the pockets of support i’ve gotten in SoCo over the decade:since spring ’17 I have had to beg n plead to be included with 1 piece in a local skateboard show at @kreuser_gallery, i am also thankful 4 a holiday group show I had @brettandrus ’s #SPQR & @themodbo.Things are challenged. Even @cscomiccon was a wash. I get more exposure on either coast with my work @nickelodeon than I do in the city I was born in. Post my friend's tragic suicide last month,all August dragged on like it was a 1000 years. Feeling bitter from a book publisher monopolizing my time most of last year only to bail on me & getting singled out for a local sci-fi show for next Friday..been massively dark n numb. Needing work and exposure locally for years with no one giving a fuck.. it’s been one sucker punch in the metaphorical gut after another. With my last childhood friend gone & my local art scene relishing it’s ever worsening ”dog eat dog” mentality..i feel like it’s 2007 all over again & I'm getting laughed out of places like Bluestar again simply looking for venues to show that wanted nothing to do with me. Sept.1 .. going to good old #SuperNova #ArcadeBar for reacquainting with an ol #TMNT friend who stated have seen my work there before. Confused - that past couple years I only went there on New Year's cuz I was to busy anymore to sit n draw there like I used to. Didn't know what he meant. We went there to talk n play #PinBot. I don't usually go down back corridor to the restrooms cuz it’s usually to crowded. Checked out that hallway by fountain. There were the 2 #vintage 2013 #PacMan & #PacBaby pieces I made for the bar owner bolted to the wall as part of the arcade’s permanent display.
