as i always say, SNK sure went out with a bang with KOF 99 and 2000, esp with the Striker system & the counter/armor mode

2002 UM is my favorite in the series, mostly because I like the art direction

but 2000 is my favorite to play, plus the arranged hero team theme in that is 👌. I don’t regret buying 99 and 2000 for PS4, 2000 is amazing and definitely up there as one of my favorites.... I do think that the striker system was a nice addition, I hope that maybe in a future KOF game (15?) it gets brought back

Those EGM X-Men and PS Tekken 3 mags look pretty sweet!

I was pretty much a lifetime EGM subscriber from somewhere around 1991 up until they closed shop (the first time) in the 2000s and converted my remaining subscription over to Maxim, which I promptly canceled. There’s a large possibility that the earliest issues were lost when I moved in 1993, or remain with the stuff of mine across the country in Georgia. But this table represents thousands of pages of classic gaming goodness. Now we have the pleasure in hindsight to judge the views of the time.
