While gaming journalists and bloggers will likely paint this picture of a pre-Street Fighter IV fgc scene that was on its last legs, the fact is that simply wasn’t true. Namco, Arc, and SNK were keeping it churning. The Justin Wongs, Daigos, and Alex Valles of the scene were still doing amazing feats with Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and Third Strike, cementing themselves as living legends. All IV did was give a needed adrenaline boost to the scene, and help propel it to its current state. And this is another reason while IV will always have my respect. Without IV, the scene would be drastically different.
