Character aesthetics: Marceline the Vampire Queen and Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time
Is it bad that the only reason I realised there was a crazy storm happening outside was because my wifi was playing up so I put down my phone to see what was up and walked past the window to see it pouring? I didn't even freakin hear it or anything… there was lightning and thunder and hail and I didn't even know for like a good half an hour…
Random Rants - “Dat Ass Tho”
I have a problem. With butts. Don’t get me wrong, butts are great. They are helpful to keep you balanced and without it you would be so out of proportion that you could not stand... but I seriously don’t get the deal with people’s obsession with butts. Like, the “attractiveness” of a butt. Ok, butts can be cute, yes, but why would someone feel so compelled by a butt??? Like, it’s a muscle that is frankly quite gross because poo, and it keeps you balanced. What’s so special about that???
(omg i wrote this ages ago but maybe you guys would find this funny? I don’t know... and also if your gonna share your thoughts on this please do not send anything inappropriate bc my innocent eyes don’t wanna read that... maybe put a warning on it and say “FOR FRANKIE ONLY” or something)
I honestly need a movie or show or just even a youtube series on Skulduggery Pleasant bc seeing that shit in action on a screen would be amazing. Who’s with me?
Random Rants - Jumpscares
Ok, so I was scrolling through our dash and had a weird thought when I was a post about jumpscares. I get that people don’t like jumpscares, or have anxiety because of it and things like that, and I agree completely. There should be warnings and things, they shouldn’t exist, yeah. But, this one post got me a tad confused. It was about the new Youtubers React video.
See, I literally just watched the video before I decided to go on Tumblr. The youtubers were reacting to the Five Nights at Freddie’s 4 Trailer. As you may or may not have known, at the end of the video they decided to put a gif of Freddie (I’m pretty sure it’s Freddie, but correct me if I’m wrong) jumping out at the screen. In most circumstances, I would find this not okay, but I mean I was kind of expecting a jumpscare considering it was A FineBros Youtubers React to Five Nights at Freddie’s video. A game where the whole point is to jumpscare people?? So they were just adding to the fun of the theme?? Which is to suddenly freak people out?? There was a jumpscare in the trailer itself too, and if you hadn’t either stopped watching because you realised there were jumpscares you did not want to encounter or you became cautious that it may happen again, then that is kind of your loss?? If you go back to some of the earlier FineBros videos, you will see that they try to customise their videos once in a while to suit the thing the people are reacting to. Also, if you are not ready for jumpscares, and you had the slightest idea of what FNAF even was, I feel like you choosing to watch the video anyway makes it your problem you got frightened, not Benny and Rafi’s fault for putting the jumpscare there.
Through most of the questions, I think pretty much every youtuber said something that equated to “it’s about the scare factor”. People play FNAF for the jumpscares. They watch youtubers play it to have the thrill of being shocked. It’s the point. If that’s not your cup of tea, then why are you watching the video?? I feel like this could be applied to quite a few things, but this has been bugging me for a while. If you don’t like jumpscares from a game, why would you still choose to play it or watch a video about it?
Ok, maybe if this was sometime last year and the first game had just come out and nobody knew what it was, you have MORE than every right to complain. But, it’s been a long time since then. This is their fourth game, pretty much any youtuber that does gaming videos, good or bad (and even some people who don’t make gaming videos) has played the game, it’s over the news, people talk about it, its all over the internet, my MUM knows what it is, okay? By this point, if you know you don’t like the look of them, or that you can’t handle jumpscares, why would you still click the link? You cannot complain about something like that. The game is literally all about freaking you out, and they just wanted to add to the scare factor. They are just latching onto the game and the video content for a few more seconds.
I know people complain about wanting warnings and things for jumpscares but don’t you think it kind off ruins the whole purpose of a “jumpscare” if you know it’s coming?
So, I got Netflix recently and out of all the things to watch I ended up binge watching Phineas and Ferb.
One of my sisters was watching Winx and I was sitting in another room and one of the bad witches yelled out "LIZARD" (I have no idea why) and out of impulse I said "they're my favourite spikey reptile" then started laughing to myself.
I have become re-obsessed with Club Penguin. Not good. (add me as a friend if you want. I’m just Arcadia Fae there :) This is becoming an issue. I need penguins to verse in Mancala and Card Jitsu so come on people!
