how do you feel about people writing their own fanfiction for your arcane x dca au?

Short stories, drabbles, one-shots based on the AU are completely fine, with credits of course!

However, after much consideration, multichapter fics/long stories are where i'll draw the line. I hope it doesn't come across as selfish but i'd like to get a shot at writing this story (if only through art) please.

Oooh that's a tricky one!

The AU should take place during the timeskip between season 1 Act 1 and 2.

Hextech has been recently discovered and labs are still playing around with this shiny new tech. It's brand new and exciting, however the Council is divided as to where to draw the line when it comes to safekeeping Hextech devices.

Let's just say a lot not everyone approves of Sun and Moon's existence.

Although i'd like to keep the AU's storyline and Arcane's canon separate, the events planned for now would absolutely influence Act 2's narrative

Arcane s2 (subtle) spoilers ahead! There's talk about the Arcane AU too

I was eagerly waiting for s2 to catch (1) details about Piltover and Zaun's streets and (2) possibly a bit of info about the Arcane itself

The first episodes actually confirmed/developped ideas i had written for the AU mainly concerning :

- The Grey

- The pipework system used to keep the Grey out of the streets.

The network spreads for miles and covers almost all of the Undercity. Firelight Y/N grew up in the deepest parts of the Sumps meaning they got to scour the abandonned Mine tunnels and Pipework as much as they liked. Fastforward to today, they're in charge of scouting around some vital areas that lead directly to the Firelights' hideout. These spots are still pretty far from it, however imagine their surprise when some weird enforcer showed up there. No matter how much Y/N tries to keep it out of the Pipes, it comes back, relentlessly, with no sign of fatigue and sometimes upgraded too. It's only a matter of time until it makes its way into their home.

- Wild runes 👀

No spoilers but one thing's for sure : wild runes and corruption will play very important roles in the AU. To the point where I started gathering papers about the ethics of AI and philosophy of sciences (organicism, mechanism, the mind-body problem etc...) of which I'm neither a fan or an expert haha I find philosophy hard to understand but who knows, it looks kinda fun right now :]

Does your DCA arcane au have a fanfiction attached to it or is it purely an art thing? I was checking your tags because it looks super cool and didn't see a mention of any written lore so I figured I'd ask about it :3 if there is a fanfiction then I'd love to read it!

So, a few people have asked this question actually, is there an Arcane AU fic? No, at least not for now.

Whether or not the AU gets its own fic is still up for debate for the following reasons :

- the AU is not complete yet. A few storylines and some arcs are vaguely planned but there's still a lot to work on imo

- Also it doesn't have a name yet asqirjrjgnls

- I've never written a fic before! Man this my first AU too! Plus english isn't my first language, so honestly I'm very unsure about my writing skills haha <:]

So yeah for now it's an art thing but we'll see! If the AU further develops and the Miro board gets too crowded I might give it a shot :D
