Listening to the Arcane soundtrack and I ascended into an art idea

For anyone who wants to know what I was listening to while coming up with the idea/working on it.

I was just listening to Arcane’s OST, putting all the songs that tell Viktor’s and Jayce’s story in order. There’s obviously a certain coherence, a thematic leitmotiv that ties all of them together and that’s also used in TOP’s The Line, which does not surprise me at all. We’re talking a show that has won Best Music in the annie awards, after all.

But damn, the way that the music alone tells you Jayvik’s love is boundless.

If you make a playlist only with those tracks and listen to it without knowing a thing about Jayvik, anyone will tell you it’s the story of a pair of conflicted lovers who are tied to each other, who love each other even through the dark diverging paths that one or both might take.

(I’m not kidding, I did the experiment, sharing the playlist with people who have studied music and haven’t watched Arcane so they could share their thoughts with me. Most opinions were in this line).
