Arceus: The end result is too extreme for me to not ask, so please forgive me for breaking a important boundary with you....
Arceus: We have asked every other mythic of your kind to join us and follow the path to become full, you are the only one within this universe remaining as you were......
Arceus: Will you follow the path to become a Full Mew, to help aide us in these dire times?
Alaxia’s eye’s narrow and quickly dart over to Eden, he knew how his brother was about remaining mortal. It was important to them... for whatever reason. Alaxia wanted to speak for a moment to chime in on the choice, but he remained silent, gaze fixated anxiously on his twin.
The other legendaries throughout the library had stopped and bowed when Arceus arrived, but now all eyes were on Eden. All nervously awaiting his reply. It being well known that “The Twin of Alaxia” willingly chose to be fully mortal. The fact that Eden was there in the library was already a huge shock to them all.
Eden felt it, all the eyes on him. How could he not.
Everyone’s gaze nearly burned his fur to a crisp.
But it was strange
For this one moment, all of his anxiety seemed to have melted. Leaving this numb tingling feeling deep within his chest.
They had been asked this question so many times in their life, so much that they usually would get angry and scream at the top of his lungs for everyone to leave him be.
The silence in the room was almost deafening, causing the tingling in his chest to almost become a ache from the peer pressure.
It was up to him, he could easily say no and everything would probably work out right?.... No..
Eden glanced back over at his twin, whose gaze was fixated on them like he was the only person in the world at that moment. Moments before Alaxia was on the ground sobbing....
and he said nothing.
His hero sat down before him and bared his soul to them.... and they did nothing. Sat there in a stunned silence, voice not even being able to escape their throat. Not one single word of comfort.
Alaxia had always been there for him, whether it was convenient or not...
Besides.... If the universe was going to end anyways, it’s not like any of it would’ve mattered. His job at the Boba Cafe.... Luan... The Wooper kids in the Fairy Ring... Mrs.Magikarp... None of it would matter...
At least this time, if he messed up....
Nobody would remember it anyways...
Eden almost smacked himself for thinking that, now wasn’t the time to self loath, it was time to try and be a Hero for once...
Although he barely managed to get the sentence out, the room was overfilled with a joyful energy.
The legends and mythic’s chatted amongst themselves in excitement, some even congratulating Eden on their decision.
The once quiet library was instantly filled with chatter of both excitement and planning for the future.
Eden looked around nervously and back at his twin, was he really the only mythic left that was mortal? Did they really ask him last even though the world was practically going to end? Was he that much of a dick about it to others?
Thoughts raced through Eden’s head as his eyes met with Alaxia’s, heart racing fast enough to power a jet plane at this point.
Alaxia met his gaze with a calm and rather prideful gleam. Alaxia’s token grin spread wide across his face.
Eden looked back up to Arceus to see their response, anxiety racing through his head once more.
