Apparently I missed both world sea turtle day (June 16th) and world crocodile day (June 17th) so how about we just call it archelosaur weekend? Turtles and crocodilians are some of my favorite animals on the planet to work with and to talk about! Pictured is a wild hawksbill sea turtle being tagged for research purposes and a captive west African crocodile (juvenile) being sexed during a veterinary exam. How lucky we are to have animals like this on our planet 🐢🐊
