The bell above the door jingled softly as Archer Chen stepped into the record store. His scrubs were hidden under a well-worn hoodie, although he felt like everybody could see from the bags under his eyes that he was exhausted.
He wandered to the "Classics" section, letting his fingers graze the edges of the sleeves. Archer held up a familiar record, admiring the artwork. His dad had had one in his study when he was a child. Perhaps that's where Archer's obsession with music came from. A lifetime obsession built from just a glimpse of a memory. He wasn't even sure it was real.
“Man, which one do I pick?” he murmured to himself. Then, glancing toward the person browsing the shelf next to him, he held both albums up and asked with a lopsided smile, “What do you think? Timeless genius or rock-and-roll history?”
