On the first night of Halloween
[Continued from here.]

Clint could hardly recognize the place with all the decorations. The place was completely decked out as if for a Halloween party despite it basically being a month away. He shook his head as his lab padded towards him in a costume. He kneeled down to gave Lucky some love. Surprisingly he didn’t seem bothered by the dress up.
The archer moved towarss the couch and plopped down. “Are you like this for every season or is it just Halloween? Like don’t get me wrong I’m all game for it all, but should I expect a christmas tee a day after thanksgiving too?” He half joked, moving a bit to rub at her back.
“You were supposed to take the day off today. You looked so sick this morning. Atleast I thought so. Was it just like a half day thing or something?” He questioned gently.
“No, silly, it goes up on the first of December,” Amelia corrected him in a matter-of-fact tone. She leaned back into his touch, her eyes fluttering shut as she hummed softly, enjoying it for a moment before opening her eyes and looking up at her husband with a shy, nearly sheepish smile. “...Is this okay?” she asked shyly, hoping he really didn’t mind.
Amelia shrugged at Clint’s question before she got up and sat down on his lap, leaning into him, resting her cheek against his neck. “I don’ tknow,” she murmured against his skin. “I felt better about three hours after you left. Either it’s just a bug or maybe I just had a bad gyro at dinner.” She looked up at him. “But I feel better now... Maybe we can go out for some chocolate shakes?”
