Leverage S03E03 The Inside Job.
Chaos: Wow, you are super old. Thank you for the history lesson. Maybe later, you can tell us about that one time you punched Hitler in the face...
Archie: *holds cane to Chaos' chin* I own two canes -- one with a taser capable of delivering 10,000 volts. The other extends a 6-inch stiletto blade.
Chaos: Which one is... is this one?
Archie: Oh, I don't seem to remember. I am... super old.
i think one of the best things leverage does for the archie/parker dynamic is the "kiddo"/"sir" dichotomy. like thats it right there. that tells you everything you need to know about what their relationship is and has been. the way she snaps to attention and calls him "sir." places him in this authoritarian position like the perfectly honed weapon he's trained her into. and then immediately after he undercuts it by calling her "kiddo" because there is love there. its muddy and definitely not all that kid Parker deserved but its there. and it wouldve been so easy to fall too far to one side of that but they keep it right in the middle there and it makes for such a compelling dynamic between the two of them.
YESSSSS ELECTROCUTE THAT FUCKER
That Leverage feel when you get a sudden unignoreable urge to go watch "The Inside Job" again, because Parker.
