The center of this build is a renovated 18th century stately farmhouse. It was in such a bad shape that the first floor wall on the eastside had to be demolished. There’s a big hearth in the livingroom on ground level. The parents’ quarters are on the second floor. There’s a small hallway leading to the teenagers’ section of the house, all built in concrete with an outside corridor on the second floor. This provides some privacy for the kids. The communal spaces are in the wooden addition.

Round 1 - archintersimdesign Contest

For me round 1 is about what the parents want. They want a Traditional Mansion with old stones and wood features then their wish is my command! With it's majestic pillars and elegantly curved bridge leading to it's own little Island, this magnificent Old Stone Manor is sure to please the parents. After all they do pay the bills so should get first and foremost say in what they require! Later on elements for the kids will come shining through!
