The Architects | 

Here are Four of the Ten Architect Madrigals. 

Created after the first Miracle, the Architects create and uphold the development of the multiverse of Encanto. distinguished by glowing eyes and threaded markings along their skin.

Architect Alma

Architect Julieta

Architect Bruno

Architect Pepa

They are omnipotent beings, often without form as they share and channel their abilities for the good of development. Each tend to favour an area of existence to oversee but there’s often a lot of overlap on capabilities. (please ignore the fact i was inspired by the Infinity Stones). Most Architects aren’t firmly connected, if at all to emotion or ‘personal’ connection

Alma is the main overseer and has access to all of her ‘family’s’ abilities and often makes the calls on what worlds should be pruned and what’s worthy of being. She’s the main face when interacting with the Watcher AU and the one to bestow a gift onto an individual. Given her great power, she can be limited; such as not being able to finds certain mortals in the noise of the multiverse; to why she also relies on her ‘family’ to spread the burden. Alma often chooses not to have as much ‘glow’ when interacting with humans, as this can be quite intimidating

Julieta is a overseer of the souls, this does also dabble into healing, as means to connect with her mortal variants. but she’s able to channel, resurrect or even create astral plains to lead ghosts to a place of peace, which in some worlds is necessary. If some mortal requires her, she’ll extract a heavy price for it unless she feels interested enough to do it herself without ‘payment’. 

Bruno is overseer of Time, living most often in boredom of knowing as time is not linear; it’s fluid and he experiences existence all at once. He’s impossible to scare but often leaves Architect artefacts for mortal versions of himself to give him some form of entertainment, like his green Ruana to the hands of Dweller Bruno. He’s very apathetic and unlikely to be interested in interacting with mortals; to him they don’t last long enough to be interesting.

Pepa is the overseer of Reality; assisting mostly in keeping AU strands from intercepting violently, protecting the established timeline when the Watchers fail. She’s the only Architect to create a personal reality; simulating a version of ‘Felix’ as she’s the one with firmer connections to emotions out of her ‘siblings’ after Julieta. She’s interested more to understand people’s connections to their worlds. She’ll typically voice against worlds that she doesn’t think need to be pruned; she can make changes after all... Of course, like her ‘brother’ she’ll instigate things to make exitance interesting; leaving her personal artefacts for her counterparts; influences a few decisions here and there that creates new realities...

AH, i don't mind :) the architect AU isn't too delved into due to the fact it's a foundational AU for the rest.

Architect Alma

Architect Alma is the warmest of personalities given her more experience with interacting with mortals. She guides the other Architects when in interaction  and though she’s not a primary embodiment, she enforces harmony between them and oversees their ‘work’. She does have empathy and does keep a close watch on the Watcher AU. Some humans does pick up her attention and sometimes she decides to get involved.

Architect Julieta

Very apathetic to living people. Architect Julieta’s embodiment on based on souls; living and dead; primarily the souls of deceased humans. She maintains the ‘afterlife’ and decides on the fate of them; if they’re worthy of being reincarnated, if they’re worthy of a time of peace of if souls needs to have some suffering for their actions. to dead souls, she’d warm and open to help them ‘heal’ or if they’re ghosts and haven’t ‘reached’ her then she’ll try and get the souls to come to the ‘afterlife realm. Unless there’s a gifted Madrigal (like Dante), Architect Julieta otherwise hates souls being pulled from her realm; souls without a body do not belong in the material world.

Architect Pepa

Architect Pepa is a very bright and bubbly Architect; she’s the embodiment of Reality so it’s a very strong personality trait for her to be interested in everything and anything but can lead to ‘mood-swings’ and ‘erratic; behaviours (by architect standards) which Architect Alma steers her to channel with creation; like expanding the watcher AU’s districts. 

Architect Bruno

Very cold, very uncaring. The opposite of Bruno in personality but it’s his embodiment that gives Architect Bruno his face. He is the embodiment of Time. He seems time as a fluid. Not as a linear construct. he’s seen the start and the end; over and over and he’s bored of everything already; he’s an advisor to Architect Alma and often helps Architect Camilo with what he should do.

Architect Mirabel

Architect Mirabel has a...neutral personality with mortals. She’s the embodiment of Mind. She doesn't care for them, doesn’t hate them either; they exist , as simply in her eyes. She has a preference for younger minds, as they’re much...warmer than adults; simpler. She finds adults more infuriating by comparison. Baby minds are fascinating for her; how such minds develop.

Architect Isabela

Like  Architect Mirabel, she’s neutral but lacks patience in handling them, so she does listen to  Architect Alma more in how to handle the complexities of human interactions but doesn’t understand it much. She’d more focused in handling nature and life than anything else; that’s her domain to thrive in.

Architect Luisa

As the powerhouse, Architect Luisa is the one that is most calm and controlled by nature; if the Architect lost control of her nature, it’s devastating on a multiverse scale that would take million years to repair.

Architect Dolores

Architect Dolores is an erratic personality; connected to everything and anything with a vibration, as that’s her domain and embodiment but considered ‘overwhelming; to mortal eyes. Doesn’t settle and constantly on the move. Architect Antonio is the only one to keep her grounded to her role in the multiverse by managing the quantum signatures of each AU and is the one to disperse of organic life in pruned AUs.

Dweller AU | Dweller Bruno

Bruno left his family when he was 20 to evade dying at the hands of the Downtwon Gang that saw him as a curse-blesser for those he has visions for. So, begged the candle for refugee and safety.

This was granted and a lower, underground system under casita was formed; enough space for him and many others.

Inside this Underground, known as Dwellings, Bruno found a new Ruana. Similar to his old, just as bit but with new symbols on. He put it on and since then, his powers changed; enable him to not only see the future, but also to pause moments in time, if he concentrates and taps into the power behind, he can see into the past. He also has control over the sand he uses (not quite sandbending but close) that he can channel 

Wearing this Ruana, not only amplified his abilities, enable a few subareas but also halted his own age from 21, his eyes remaining alight regardless of his vision status, which led to him gaining a form of night-vision. His physical age difference is seen most predominantly against the rest of his ageing family, though he suspects there’s a lot to his new ruana, as it won’t allow Mirabel to sew onto it.

The Ruana isn’t a normal ruana, clearly, but a creation of Architect!bruno’s making who left it to be found by Dweller Bruno because everything is predictable to Architect!Bruno, why not have some fun? He encouraged Architect!pepa to do the same with her creations (see hallow’s gauntlet)
