El viejo castillo del Louvre, luego Palacio Real y la famosa pirámide de cristal, una obra emblemática del arquitecto I. M. Pei.
Un edificio que cumplió con diferentes funciones, originalmente una fortaleza con un torreón y un recinto cuadrangular, construido por el rey Felipe Augusto en 1190 para proteger París.
En 1983 se le otorga la renovación del Museo del Louvre al arquitecto chino-estadounidense Ieoh Ming Pei, siendo la primera vez que un extranjero intervenía el museo.

In 1983 the renovation of the Louvre Museum was granted to the Chinese-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei, was the first time a foreigner intervened in the museum.
