Hanging out at the CA State Assembly with two members, Kevin McCarty, and James Gallagher, who represents the Butte Co. district. We were disappointed to miss Senator Nielsen and also Governor Newsom, but left each a copy of the exhibition catalog. I sat in the Assembly chambers for awhile, listening to last minute voting on parts of the budget that passed last Thursday. Interesting. Thanks to Alex Harold, Kevin’s staff person who babysat me. Simple Objects: An Excavation. Installation reflecting upon one family’s loss of two homes. A collaboration with Christy Heron-Clark, born and raised in Paradise. I was born in Chico. This has been an intense and emotional experience, from our first archeological dog in late January, to holding and documenting each item.
