I'm talking into the void here but. aroallo Eva Stratt and demisexual Olesya Ilyukhina having a friendly relationship with surprisingly relaxed sexual benefits.

In my head they're closer than they let on; they understand what it's like being women in any sort of scientific industry, doubly so because they both have very similar interests.

Ilyuhinka is regularly showing up at Stratt's door with a bottle of wine and all the latest gossip on Stratt's Vat because Stratt pretends she's not curious but she really is. Plus, it helps to run things if you know who hates who and why.

Eva Stratt who goes to ridiculous lengths to find a kilogram of pure, uncut heroin and make absolutely sure it's not contaminated because if that's how Ilyuhinka wants to die she'll do that for her but she's gonna damn well make sure it won't hurt.

Ilyuhinka who is very smug about the fact that the world is gonna be saved by two lesbian women and Stratt who puts a note in her bag of personal items when Ilyuhinka boards the Hail Mary that just has a little lesbian flag on it and the words "good luck. save the world <3" on it.

When Grace sends Ilyukhina out to space, he tucks the note into the pocket over Ilyuhinka's heart.

What if during Stratt's trial after the launch of the Hail Mary, she's absolutely refusing to give any sort of interview with the media. And then some idiot reporter brings up her "overly personal" relationship with Ilyukhina in an attempt to make it seem like it was some kind of coercive dynamic and Stratt finally does agree to an interview. For the sole purpose of correcting that one assumption.

Like. It's on live TV and she comes in. Doesn't even let the interviewer get a word in edgeways, just corrects that and then smiles, stands up and walks out.

When she finds out about how Ily dies, she goes and gets absolutely blackout drunk for the first and only time in her life.

Not because Ily died. They both knew that would happen. But because she knew how much it meant to Ily that she was doing something. That she would leave a stamp on history. And to know that Ily died on the journey, that she'd end up being practically consigned to a footnote?

That's what Stratt would mourn.

I wonder if Stratt would fight to make sure that Yao and Ily's contributions to the mission, as well as DuBois and Shapiro's, were remembered as also important. She did it because she knew they deserved recognition but also because she wouldn't let Ily die without being remembered as a brilliant engineer and as a brilliant woman.

Here today I present you with some little Skate and BB doodles, and a minor headcanon yap session, if you would indulge me. Further context under cut.

Ever since the Splintered Skies lore drop I've been thinking about all of the Playground Phighters. Perhaps way too much. And I have some thoughts to share, this time regarding Boombox specifically (BB further on)

It has been established that BB abandoned his place at Splintered Skies to stay with Skate, even if that meant taking that massive drop all the way down to the ground and potentially losing his life. It has also been said that most exiled Inphernals don't make it to the ground alive, and that the Playground population makes an effort to save whoever they can. I like to think that while Skate and BB managed to survive, whatever measures were taken somehow faltered, which lead to BB severely damaging his eyes.

As a result of this, and his overall very close bond with Skate, I imagine that when they were still newspawns, BB would be very timid and tail behind Skateboard everywhere he went. This in turn (along with their entire upbringing honestly) is what inspires Skate to want to help those in need and make Playground, and Cranedust specifically a better place for everyone.

Damage on BB's eyes would also give context to the visor that he presently has. I imagine that visor was made by Coil as a gift for BB some time when they're older.

So. I might. Be totally majorly burnt out on BB/Kuro's main stuff. I find myself much more interested in the stories I make with the characters, to the point they've just become OCs LMAO

I wanna keep working on my kuro projects, but tbh idk whether to just go along with the stories I've had or work on my OC revamp of the stuff I had. I -adore- the reaper world-building, and I -adore- the fiction I've made with the Trancy household, however it's gotten so far that the only thing 'kuro' about my verse are:

Demon Servants

Victorian Era (that timeskips into 1998 in my verse LMAO)

Reapers being office workers.

I wanna continue this blog, but I don't wanna mislead ppl bc it wouldn't entirely be kuro anymore >~< it's just become my silly fan verse and I wouldn't know how to tag it. I have my main blog I wanna start being active in again,,,

Maybe after I rest and recover I'll come back stronger

Working on a couple things IRL, translations will problably be delayed by a couple weeks.

In other news-while not genesic related but is code geass related- i got my hands on scans of some untranslated code geass novels and a copy of the 2012 musical.

I'll probably make another Tumblr sometime in the future to post those there so this blog is mainly genesic oriented. Also, this won't be happening for awhile since I want to make sure i have a few genesic translations on here beforehand (at least up to around chapter 4 of the main story). Still, I thought it'd something fun to announce so be on the lookout.

Mark Walden I love you you literally don't understand how injuries work tho

there's so many points where I'm just like. no actually. their injuries mean whatever action you've just described is fucking stupid.

obviously example is Nero's getting stabbed in the gut by Raven and then,,, keeping on going for like. a while????? motherfucker you just got stabbed clean through the stomach you should be nearly dead not walking

also similarly Nero being super tortured by Raven at the end of bloodline doesn't have as much impact because Walden can't write the actual effects of injuries

Nero's described as having a voice rough from screaming in pain and having "numerous, savage wounds" so how is he fucking *sprinting* down a ramp not too long after??? the emotional impact of Raven having to do these things to Nero means so much less if he's *fine* after. come on.

I want him half-dead. I want him to be untied after Anastasia dies and I want him to just.. sag against the wall, covered in blood and injuries, eyes barely open and stare at Raven. I want her to hug him not out of ease but out of desperation because she can tell he's weak and damnit she isn't letting her father die without hugging him. I want her sobbing apologies as she tries to patch him up and I want him to use the last of his energy to tell her it's not her fault. that he couldn't be prouder of who she's become. and then I want him to pass out. not die. just pass out. I want her to panic, to scream unearthly high and loud for a second before her training kicks in and she starts bringing him back to the Megalodon. I want her to have to, then, later, watch H.I.V.E be destroyed and look away from the wreckage only to stare straight back at it because her only other option is to look at Nero, unconscious and far too pallid, being treated on board the Megalodon.

I want some realistic fucking suffering for these idiots.

There is a couple. One of them despises the idea of immortality, vows to reject it if it is ever offered to them. The other wishes never to die so they will never be forgotten. But Fate plays her cruel tricks, and thus the one who wished not to be immortal is granted eternal life as he watched his love die.

The immortal knows what he must do. He tells the story of his lost love. He keeps his love's story alive, throws himself into ensuring that his love is never forgotten.

And so time goes by, years, decades, longer, all ticking by, and eventually the immortal doesn't remember anything but the story of a person they loved, and so they keep telling that story. They have nothing else for them but that story. And so they keep telling it as the centuries and the millennia slip by, and when the earth is consumed by the sun and there is nothing for them but the black expanse of space, they do nothing but tell the story.

There is nobody left to tell it to, but they keep telling it anyway.

When, eventually, the universe dies a fiery death, the final thing the immortal sees is the face of their love, a face they had long immortalised in photographs but the memory of which had slipped away. And as they die, they speak their love's name one final time. They breathe it out against the inferno of blazing heat and flame that surrounds their dying body. They feel, rather than see, the flame gutter for a split second at the name, and they know, then, that they have done their love justice. They have carved his name into the universe.
