Mark Walden I love you you literally don't understand how injuries work tho

there's so many points where I'm just like. no actually. their injuries mean whatever action you've just described is fucking stupid.

obviously example is Nero's getting stabbed in the gut by Raven and then,,, keeping on going for like. a while????? motherfucker you just got stabbed clean through the stomach you should be nearly dead not walking

also similarly Nero being super tortured by Raven at the end of bloodline doesn't have as much impact because Walden can't write the actual effects of injuries

Nero's described as having a voice rough from screaming in pain and having "numerous, savage wounds" so how is he fucking *sprinting* down a ramp not too long after??? the emotional impact of Raven having to do these things to Nero means so much less if he's *fine* after. come on.

I want him half-dead. I want him to be untied after Anastasia dies and I want him to just.. sag against the wall, covered in blood and injuries, eyes barely open and stare at Raven. I want her to hug him not out of ease but out of desperation because she can tell he's weak and damnit she isn't letting her father die without hugging him. I want her sobbing apologies as she tries to patch him up and I want him to use the last of his energy to tell her it's not her fault. that he couldn't be prouder of who she's become. and then I want him to pass out. not die. just pass out. I want her to panic, to scream unearthly high and loud for a second before her training kicks in and she starts bringing him back to the Megalodon. I want her to have to, then, later, watch H.I.V.E be destroyed and look away from the wreckage only to stare straight back at it because her only other option is to look at Nero, unconscious and far too pallid, being treated on board the Megalodon.

I want some realistic fucking suffering for these idiots.

More hive headcanons because i dont have to make sense

They are all moderately afraid of spiders to some extent

Seemore absolutely hates them, got bit as a child and was left with the fear of them

Kyd and jinx are ok with small ones but any bigger then a quarter and they start inching away

Gizmo likes them at a distance, he thinks venomous ones are cool but will still freak out if something like a wolf spider started getting closer then 5 feet

Bigger non venomous spiders are fine for billy and mammoth (or so they say)

Billy tried to get a tarantula to be cool ( everyone was against it ) but when he saw it in person he got cold feet

Whenever anybody asks about the tarantula he cooks up some excuse along the lines of “i thought it was best if it goes with someone who isnt in jail every other Wednesday”

They go camping sometimes whenever they get got and their “evil lair” (abandoned building on the verge of collapsing) gets compromised.

They put up tents around hidden areas and set up fires when they can. They make smores and things to try and lighten the mood while facing the elements.

Kyd and seemore make perfect goey ones and occasionally share whenever another member (gizmo) burns theirs (scorched it is absolutely scorched. Like it is lit on fire and hes always too busy to notice)

Mammoth likes his a little crispy and billy likes his lowkey burnt (jinx makes fun of him for it)

Jinx eats them however (not burnt) but always uses lots of chocolate

During a camping trip they were out in a more wild area and the team of superpowered bad guys ran from a pack of stray dogs scrounging for food

They got their tents torn up in the middle of the night, leading to someone yelling “BEAR” (there are no bears nearby whatsoever) but they were too disoriented from the sudden waking and decided to scram rather than fight back

They still dont know it was just stray dogs like they theorize to this day about bears and werewolves to even serial killers

During hive academy days, they were sent out on multiple day missions by themselves as a punishment. A couple of them had to hide out in stores and other inhabited buildings so they dont get caught.

Mammoth was almost always caught while gizmo hid in a crate in a nearby grocery. Not their best moments as one got sent to jail and had to break out (the school refused to help as an extended punishment) and the other was shipped across state by accident on his third time trying that trick. Gizmo started hiding in the vents instead with the consequences of sometimes getting cooked alive when the heat was up

Gizmo was (obviously) bullied when he first arrived to the academy and often shoved and locked into supply closets and lockers. When he improved his tech, HE started doing the same thing to his tormenters.

Billy was actually one of them but he did more verbal bullying (teasing as he called it) than physical. Billy quickly made amends when he saw three of bullies crammed into a closet and became somewhat allies with gizmo during the rest of the stay at the academy.

The hive didn’t completely know each other the way they do during academy days. Jinx thought it was a good idea to try and find survivors from the collapse of the building and found Seemore and billy.

Kyd was also attempting to do the same and found out about the small team that jinx was making, joining later on when they could no longer find anybody else who was willing to join.

Students like angel and XL decided to do solo
