So I have been thinking that there aren't enough aoe classes in pathfinder. So I made what I think is a well balanced arctype.
Give me some feedback on what you think about it.
Weapon proficiency - sage uses a large smoking pipe, this pipe acts as a +1 greatclub as it is infused with the monk's ki. For the sage to use his pipe it must be packed with a smoking substance such as tobacco. The monk gains all effects from other smoking substances. If this weapon breaks, it takes 8 hours of meditation to attuned the monk's ki to a new pipe or repaired pipe. This pipe is considered magic after attuned.
Smoking substances: these substances are other options for the monk's to smoke in his pipe. These are subject to GMs additions or removal.
Tobacco: standard smoking substance with no additional properties.
Marajuana: a common weed used in elevating the monk's mental transcendence. Boosts craft skills, perception, will saves by +5 and - 5 to knowledge skills, and reflex saves. Effects last for 1d4 hours. All within fogs cast with this substance gain effects.
Elven Silverleave: common among elves, this substance causes subject to glow and enhance intelligence by +5. Fog created with this substance is considered silver and illuminates area.
Sage Ki pool: the sage of the Fog is a monk that has spent their life in zen expanding their inner power. like monk's ki pool but give a larger ki pool. Sage ki pool is equal to monks level + wisdom modifier + 5.
Ki fog: ki clouds can be breathed out filling a 5 foot radius to 10 foot radius. Clouds use 1 ki point per 10 feet filled. At level 3 and every 3 levels after the cloud can fill 10 more feet. The stream of the Fog extends out 25 feet before filling the area with fog. DC for clouds are 10 + monk level + wisdom. Modifier. This replaces monk unarmed strike.
damage fog: Damage cloud physically harms all within the cloud like being hit with a 1000 needles. This attack does 2d6 + monk's level in damage. It increases by 1d6 every 2 levels after first level. These hits hit on a touch attack.this is considered piercing damage. This replaces monk flurry of blows.
Fog cloud: Used like the spell obscuring mist. At 4th level this can be used like fog cloud. This ability applies to all fogs. This replaces monk evasion.
Cloud of confusion: this cloud causes all within the cloud to become confused and attack adjacent person for 1 round. All within the cloud must make a will save. Sage of the Fog can't use any weapons the monk is proficient with.
Fog of elements: the monk can change his fog into different elements. Such as spraying his enemies with fire embers, creating a small snow storm or an acid cloud. Elements the Fog can be replaced with are fire, ice, acid, electricity. Change of fog element must be declared before casting any other fogs. This fog does +1d6 damage to all within the Fog cast. This replaces monk ki strike.
Fog of ailments: At 4th level the sage can cure allies and himself of status effects such as exhaustion. He can also inflict a status effect on an enemy, enemies effected this way must make a fortitude save. If those within the Fog are considered an ally they are cured of a status effect, and enemies are inflicted by the effect being cured. Only one status effect may be applied or removed at a time. This ability replaces still mind.
Healing fog: At 4th level the sage can create a fog that heals all within it healing 4d6 + wisdom modifier. This ability increases +1d6 every 2 levels. This is considered a channel ability for meeting feat requirements and other abilities. This replaces monk ki power.
Fog of life: At 5th level the sage can create a fog that restores a person from death. This ability can only be used on a target within 24 hours of death. this ability replaces purity of body.
Explosive fog: At 5th level the sage can fill an area with explosive gas the explodes and the end of his turn. All within explosion get a Reflex save for half. Explosive damage is 5d6 + half monk level. The damage for explosive fog increases to 10d6 at 10th level, 15d6 at 15th level and 20d6 at 20th level. This ability replaces 5th level monk style strike.
Fog of inspiration: At 2nd level the sage can create a fog that inspires 1 target within it increasing a single skill by +10. The sage increases the number of targets within the Fog every 3 levels. This fog last for only 1d6 minutes.
Poison fog: This poison deals 1d3 Constitution damage per round for 6 rounds to all within the Fog. Poisoned creatures can make a Fortitude save each round to negate the damage and end the afflictionability replace monk
Stunning fog: At first level the sage can create at fog that stuns all within it for 1 round. This ability increases to 1d4 rounds at 5th level. This ability replaces Stunning fist.
Flight fog: At 9th level the sage can create a fog that he can stand on and fly. The dog lasts for only 5 minutes per day, Ruggiero time does not need to be used all at once. this ability replaces improved evasion.
Solid smoke: The sage can turn his fog into solid objects, the objects created can not be used as tools. Each object only last 10 minutes before it turns back into fog. The save gains this ability at 1st level.
Fog dragon: At 6th level the sage can fill a 10 foot area in front of with an image of a dragon. When this fog takes form it causes a dragons fear aura. The DC of the aura is equal to the sages DC. Save negates effect, targets effected are frozen in place by fear for 1d4 rounds and it has 180 foot radius. This ability replaces 6th level ki power.
Fog of transcendence: At 13th level the sage can transend the physical form, when anyone is within the Fog they can speak to each others mind. this ability replaces monk's tongue of sun and moon.
Smoke blade: creates a 1 or 2 handed blade taking the form of any bladed weapon. This blade lasts 5 minutes or until dropped.
Bolstering fog: bolstering cloud enhances 1 Stat. Stats enhanced as if using bulls strength, cats grace, owls wisdom, bears endurance eagles splendor, and fox's cunning.
