Writing some potential bio info for random dragons
Calamite- A surgeon, he doesn't really lead the research that goes on in Anticant. It's his job to open a patient up, the other doctors do their thing, and then he stitches them back up again. Of course he isn't strictly just opening and closing things and does do life saving surgeries like removing invasive objects, cancers, and limbs. In a terrible way, he's an oddball among the doctors in that he cares whether or not the person on the table lives. He is kept around because survivability (which means successful test subjects) have improved dramatically, and Tali finds it hilarious that his way of dealing with uppity colleagues is throwing them across the room.
He is good friends with Verpz and typically treats test subjects with some respect, though he is under the belief all who come across his table are criminals. Those who speak to him (and haven't made him mad) find Calamite well spoken, normal, but also pretty bland. He spends his free time taking long walks through the swamps surrounding Anticant.
Ardalion- a hunter and mercenary for hire, he used to be a mirror but took the form of an Obelisk after their discovery. He has a reoccurring contract with Angora and Inflicts when the holidays roll around, joining them to rip festival currency out of the jaws of marauding beasts for desperate tourists. He also sometimes tags along to assist in their freelance trainer work when the money is particularly good at the moment... Though he has no love for the wars it contributes to.
Angora- Angora is not a true dragon, but actually a mammet. They are different from mimics in that magic is only one part that drives them, the rest being hidden mechanics within that allow them to move and speak. What exactly goes on inside their body is only for Angora to know, as they have no need for someone to pop them open and fix them. Like flesh and blood, stuffing and broken limbs heal on their own, albeit much faster than their living counterparts.
Angora is mischievous but hardly ever malicious towards dragons. They're hugely motivated by money and have taken up the lucrative job of being a trainer to get more of it. Why they want gold and gems so bad no one knows, as they're never seen buying anything, not that they really need any necessities to begin with. If you hear a harrowing cackle in the Mire, feel free to stop and say hi to the source, as you may leave with some trainees they happened to have with them.
Inflicts- (the name is somewhat a reference to a popular neopets user, lachtaube, and their pet Inflicts. That user's work greatly inspired me as a kid and still does) Inflicts is a mimic that has joined the world of dragons. Since mimics contain all sorts of spoils, Inflicts is no different, often eating valuable items both for collecting and just as food. This is why they've joined forces with Angora: Inflicts arranges contracts and navigates the social scene while Angora gets their claws dirty. Together they rake in the gold, having no qualms with profiting off the warring flights.
Having spent a lifetime prior dodging eliminates, Inflicts is very perceptive of the intents of others and is usually the first to act. They are not above sabotaging others and manufacturing conflict for the sake of money, although given the nature of the warring flights they hardly have any need for these tactics.
