Tasting notes by Billy A NOSE Sweet earthy peat and warm leather to start. Mossy green notes develop along with a mineral dryness – old roof slates. Medicinal hints and traditional whisky warehouses sit behind that, with bung cloth, iodine and sea spray. PALATE Big medicinal hit to start, with fresh bandages joined by TCP. Ground coffee and sharp green leaves are joined by lime peel, orange peel and charcoal. Some spice develops, with soft nutmeg backed up by a cinnamon tingle. FINISH Warming finish, with lime peel, slate and ash. Tasting Notes by Ed B NOSE Sweet ham and bananas, soft smoke with a hint of mintiness. Overall, a smoky caress rather than a punch. PALATE Ripe-fruit sweetness with a delicate carbonic kiss. Worryingly drinkable and approachable. FINISH Not overly complicated, just a smothering dry finish.
