i'm not sure if you meant this to be two different ones but i've got a decent one: this is a love letter to my youngest siblings
it's this weird thing bc i was twelve when they were born and never lived in the same house as them, i only see them once or twice a year if that, but they are now... twelve years old! (which is SO WILD hello. they are half my age.) and it has been really wonderful watching these kids grow up into people
my sister is an artist, pretty much entirely self-taught. she's in the process of repainting her bedroom walls. she actually got one of her paintings on display in the county fair over the summer! she is also incredibly articulate - she probably lurks in the same corners of the internet as i do, because we have stunningly good conversations about, like, the flaws in the education system and institutional racism. it's amazing.
my brother can solve a rubik's cube in thirty seconds. he can play two chess games at once and win both. he knows basic programming. he recently explained to me, in depth, how to play the video game valorant, because he liked it and he wanted me to like it too. and he dances - they both do, actually. i love watching them. i love getting to see it. it is such a joy and an honor being their older sibling.
