Yo I saw a post about the Ides coming up and the parallels between the current US political situation and the Roman political situation at the time of Caesar

And it’s funny to think about like “what if history repeated itself” or something

But like…

There’s so many shitty things that Ides #2 would cause?!?!

Cause a war between JD Vance, Elon Musk, and Barron Trump would not be very good

And I don’t want an Autocracy that lasts for the next thousands of years

And Mitch McConnell stabbing Trump is not something I wanna read in the history books of the future

Would China be the Persia to our Rome? And who would Russia and Ukraine be??? Carthage and Numidia?

BECKETT: Yeah well, I didn’t want to make any excuses. I just wanted to put in the time and do the work. But I think I’m almost where I want to be now.

CASTLE: And ...where is that?

BECKETT: In a place where I can finally accept everything that happened that day.

BECKETT: Everything.

CASTLE: *Nods* I think … I understand…

BECKETT: And um… that wall I was telling you about? I think it’s coming down.

CASTLE: Well I’d like to be there when it does.
