Following widespread acclaim, sold-out shows, and massive streaming success, New York’s own platinum-certified hip-hop collective 41 unleash their anxiously awaited full-length debut album, AREA 41, out now via Rite Or Wrong KVH Entertainment/Republic Records.
The anticipation proves more than worth it. AREA 41 delivers 17 songs that move between high-energy street records, hazy slow-burners, and electrifying anthems. On the album’s focus track, “MVP,” the group connects with Key Glock, adding a steady Memphis presence to the club ready record. They trade sharp, back-and-forth bars, settling into a natural lyrical rhythm. Strings rise underneath the beat as Jenn Carter steps in with calm confidence, declaring, “B*tches say I’m the best in the game. All the Baddies be saying my name.”
They tap Chicago superstar and multiplatinum phenomenon G Herbo for the explosive “Dracos & ARPs,” where the bass rattles and the collective engage in an elite lyrical crossfire as Herbo delivers his signature verbal firepower, uniting Chicago and New York in the process. The album also features Fivio Foreign for the lusty “Addicted,” culminating on a catchy chorus, “I think I’m addicted.” Cash Cobain pulls up to the party on “Last Night,” and “Strawberry Rum” places a spotlight on the group’s knack for an unshakable and undeniable melody once Kyle Richh uplifts the hook. Elsewhere, they team up with Capella Grey and East Coast legend Fabolous on “Designer Vagina.”
The finale “All 41” hits especially hard. A reflection on their trials and tribulations, it climaxes with a heartfelt assurance, “Been through so much with my brothers, I promise the only thing we got is each other.”
Kicking off album week, 41 hosted a 41 hour livestream that kept fans locked in as a steady stream of guests, including Fabolous, Bobby Shmurda, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Maino, Lola Brooke, and more. They kept the momentum going with an album release party last night at Aura 57, sponsored by Slapwoods, bringing the project to life in real time. The release event brought out artists like Fat Boy SSE, Bianca Bonnie, Ahna Mac, and more. The event featured performances by 41, along with live DJ sets and exclusive previews of the album, turning it into a full night of celebration for AREA 41.
41 have crash landed at the forefront of the culture as rap’s hottest group with AREA 41.
