Mentioned in a couple of streams now and often dominating the backdrop of Emberlan, the Clocktower is definitely one of the more noticeable shops. While it does have a side entrance, the most common way to reach it is the warp plate in Emberlan's main shopping street. It is owned & run by Callum, and sells all kinds of enchanted goods, Nether materials and more!
So, we have seen more characters than expected claiming allegiance with Gallus Nesting. What's up with that?
Gallus Nesting has been on a drive for more residents for a while now! As far as four years back, during and after the end of the world, River Wheatflower advertised to new arrivals whether they want to live in Gallus Nesting.
The town started out as the seat of the Chicken Cult: a tight-knit group worshipping the Chicken Mother. It has since expanded and opened up, and you don't even have to worship the Mother to live there. Just, you know. Respect the local religion.
Gallus Nesting is divided into two areas: Residential and business. The Residential area, closer to the forest and warpstones, sports luxurious buildings, a small pond area and stables for the various tamed animals. Rumor has it, River herself will build a house for you here if you wish to move in! Alternatively, you can stay at the local hotel if you don't wish to stay long.
Past the smaller community farm you will find the business street. Many of the shops are still works in progress, but more are moving in quick! Finally, the lake bordering the town wil soon house a full temple to the Mother.
The main hub of YSMP. Run by Lachlan, the Kelpie, Emberlan hosts the stage to many big server events.
Many people have houses here, but they are rarely the main residences. Considering how often Emberlan gets torn apart, set on fire, covered in skulls, taken over, pierced, flooded-- it would probably be a very stressful existence otherwise. Still, it holds this World's most-used warp plate hub, and acts as a great neutral ground for various Entities to meet.
Areas of note include the market alley, which makes up the main road to port, the warp plate hub, the docks, and several stand-out stores such as the Clocktower.
The floating city right on the cusp of the Glaciers.
Calling Windhaven a city is doing it a disservice, if we are honest. Windhaven is sentient, an Observer even, and not to be underestimated. It has been here since the world before, which few but the city remember, and now provides a home to many of Yokai's residents.
Other than providing a home, Windhaven also holds the largest public library in the Overworld! You can find information on this world and the last, on various species, mobs and their souls, or read a few of the fictional stories here. Windhaven makes sure to keep its bookshelves stocked, so check back in often! New books may have appeared.
Fun facts:
Windhaven helped one of its residents and caretakers, Fef, become a Helper near the end of S1!
Like Windhaven, the Dreamscape is both a location and a living being. It is huge, covering the same area as the Overworld and more. It is an Oberver, moved permanently into the world of Yokai. It is flexible and ever-changing, but curteous enough to allow some locatinos to stay the same for its residents.
Said residents consist mainly of phantoms - Entity souls either born in the Dreamscape or wandering it for long enough to become one with it. The phantoms and the Dreamscape have a symbiotic relationship, with the health of the Dreamscape directly affecting the wellbeing of phantoms, and said phantoms dragging in new souls so their Observer can feed. Other mobs and creatures may spawn here, but they usually lack souls - being merely a projection of dreams or a tool the Dreamscape uses to better kill those trapped within it.
Most Overworlders will only see flashes of the Dreamscape, once in a while-- if they sleep enough. Phantoms have a way of spotting those who haven't rested and dragging them where they belong. So if you only see the Dreamscape in your dreams, briefly- if you struggle to remember it? Consider yourself lucky. The Dreamscape has nothing for Overworlders to survive on, so if you do find yourself dragged there... Well. You better start praying.
Notable Locations in the Dreamscape are the main city, Dreamburgh, the Night Market, or the Dream Gallery (sometimes called the Zoo (derogatory) too..
Dreamburgh is a city in the more stable center of the Dreamscape. Most residents find a place here, and it is relatively safe from the nightmares the outer regions generate, and at the same time, dreamers are less likely to wander in here. Come here to watch the eternal sunset in peace or to meet the Dreamscape's favourite Dragon, Altair!
The Night Market is only accessible once in a blue moon - whenever the Dreamscape invites you. Trade your currency for Slumber and brows the local wares, but beware of the shopkeeps. And don't trade away your name card - it is your only way out of here.
The Dream Gallery is a hangout spot in the outer regions. If you make it in alright, you can wander through curated and displayed dreams, have a snack in the dome above, or test your fighting skills in Get Hunted For Sport below!
To start us off, let us look at the Woodlands. This is the area around many of the Overworld's major cities; Emberlan, Opulence, Rabbiton and Windhaven all fall into this region. It is also home to several notable builds, such as the Yokai Manor, Lachlan's Ship, The Woodlands Postal Service and one of River's Restaurants!

Emberlan is one of the bigger cities in the Overworld. Ruled by Lachlan, the Kelpie (and his ever-vigilant ravager Justice), it is a port city with many shops and lots of trade going on. It is a warpstone hub between many Overworld locations, and the most common meeting place for events - whether they be mundane or world-ending.
Opulence is a mysterious city. Still under construction and closed to the public. Should one venture too close to the outer walls, however, they may hear muffled screaming from within.
Rabbiton is a peaceful little town, if you ignore the ominous ships hanging out by the cliffside! It is run by Krinny, a sentient shadow and member of the Gallus Nesting council.
Windhaven - a floating thing somewhere between a city and a sentient being. Just recently, it personally recommended one of its residents be made a Helper to the Keeper! It is home to the largest public library in the Overworld.
Yokai Manor is where many new arrivals spend their first nights. A sprawling buildings with a variety of themed rooms available to anyone, as well as a huge ballroom! How Yokai Manor chooses those it drags into this world, nobody really knows.
Lachlan's Ship can be found in the port of Emberlan, recognisable by the vicious tamed animals aboard or the stockpile of TNT on the deck! It sits among various vessels in the port, some intact, some run aground, all of them worth a visit.
The Woodlands Postal Service runs on phantoms as delivery workers. Sitting comfortably on a floating island near Emberlan, anyone may send a letter or claim a mailbox here, regardless of where they live. Just be aware of the mail thieves.
Finally, River's Restaurant offers a unique dining experience. Not only is the place owned by one of the heads of a city nearby, it also offers a unique underwater dining experience! Unless someone has frozen the water shut, again, that is.
The Glaciers are a frozen expanse just north of the Woodlands. They are home to Point Blank, a town nestled in between those cliffs of ice, where beautiful plants of crystalline ice sprout from the ground. Here you will find most residents of the Glaciers, as well as Moon Bakery, the local post office, and quite a storied link to the Nether. Further off from that town, River Industrys sits with its own railway station.
Point Blank is the only major town in the Glaciers. It is run by Ace, the last penguin of this world, and holds many beautiful sights. Four years ago, Point Blank became the scene of the Nether's downfall as it literally froze over, but today, only a single block (and a majestic Nether Portal) stand in memory of that occasion.
Moon Bakery is one of the more recognisable builds in Point Blank. The bakery consists of several floors to relax or meet people at, with the entrance holding the actual shop for baked goods.
The Post Office holds mailboxes free for any resident to claim. As an incentive to move in, each mailbox comes with quite an interesting set of goods to start building!
Finally, River Industrys sits in the middle of the frozen mountains. It belongs to River Wheatflower and is easy to recognise by the giant skeleton suspended above the factory floor. It too has its own railway line leading back to Emberlan.
A home of transformation and technology.
Locations: Gallus Nesting, The Railways
The Spires are the volcanic area of the map. Brightly-coloured pools with steaming water shape the landscape, with its greener pastures inviting residents to stay. Gallus Nesting presents itself as a calm place to stay, with just a few inhabitants so far, and all the Entities of Yokai profit of the community farm located here.
Gallus Nesting is the only actual settlement in the Spires. It is run by River Wheatflower, a goat who likes to get high sometimes, and the council around her. It is also the seat of the chicken cult, though worshipping the Chicken Mother is not a requirement to live there.
The Community Farm holds fields of crops for anyone to harvest. It is notable for its technological advancements; notably a huge windmill and a Create Warehouse. It also holds the Unofficial Train(ing) Grounds, where new trains are built for the sprawling railroad system.
The Railways span the Spires and connect all the way back to Emberlan. There is no active train system currently, but with the way technology is being pushed to develop here, that is only a matter of time.
