"Don’t.” Silena groaned, holding up a hand to the stranger that stood beside her. “Do I look like I need help?” She then looked down at herself, covered in dirt and grease and other car fluids that she could not identify. She’d been stranded out here for hours because of a flat tire that she’d been trying to replace and failing miserably. “Actually, you know what? Don’t answer that.”

“  so, you’re a scientist ? ”  aalaya’s skeptical. she’s always been skeptical of scientists. she believed in evolution and global warming and any other thing that some would call a hoax, but . . . white coats still sent a chill down her spine. even now. so far removed from the days past when she would be hunted for what she was born with. midochlorians in her blood. she blew out a breath, leaning forward on the table slightly.   “ so what do you study ?  the planet or something ? ”     //     @arealsin​
