One thing I DID love last night is how sweet Mando is to R5 now. From the beginning he's typical "no droids" until IG-11 is reprogrammed, and that's the only droid allowed. But he had R5 for two days and was like WELP THIS DROID IS BASICALLY A KICKED LOTH CAT HE NEEDS ENCOURAGEMENT then two more days later he's like ENCOURAGEMENT ISN'T ENOUGH HE NEEDS LOVE and now with this finale his encouragement and love have literally become "it's okay buddy you're doing great" etc and I don't think he's even realized he loves this stupid, cowardly little droid.

I do think that R5 knows it, though. He wants to make his daddy and his little brother so happy.
