King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia will be in Argentina from the 24th-27th of March 2019, for a State Visit at the invitation of the President, Mauricio Macri (x).

The trip is yet to be confirmed by Casa Real therefore no official agenda has been released but according to multiple sources, the King and Queen will arrive on Sunday the 24th but the agenda won’t start until the 25th and will go through to the 27th, when they travel to Córdoba to inaugurate the VIII International Congress of the Spanish Language (CILE ).

On Monday the 25th, the day will begin in Buenos Aires with King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia laying a wreath before the statue of General San Martín, the wreath laying will be followed by a lunch hosted by President Macri and his wife, Juliana Awada. That afternoon, the King and Queen will visit the National Congress of Argentina and at night a Gala Dinner will be hosted by the Argentinan President at the Kirchner Cultural Centre (CCK). 

On Tuesday the 26th, the King and Queen will attend forums and meetings with Spanish and Argentinian businessmen, they will also meet with members of the Spanish community in Argentina at the embassy. And at night the King and Queen will host a reception in honour of the Argentinian President and the authorities.

On Wednesday the 27th, the King (and Queen?) along with President Macri will fly to Córdoba to inaugurate the VIII International Congress of the Spanish Language (CILE ) - The CILE is the most important meeting related to Spanish language and culture and is organised every three years by the Cervantes Institute, the Royal Spanish Academy and the Association of Language Academies in collaboration with different governments of Latin America.
