The Great Argus Pheasant (Argusianus argus) is native to the jungles of Borneo, Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It's name is a reference to Argus; a hundred-eyed giant in Greek mythology. -- Its mating displays is one of the finest in the bird world and takes place after the male clears a spot in the forest and prepares an arena of sorts.
