What would your dream reading nook look like?
I was recently inspired by some furniture on Arhaus last week (especially their sectional sofas, like the two pictured above--which you can also check out on their website here.) and it inspired me to create a post that displayed what my dream reading nook would look like. Using pictures from their website and their Pinterest (plus the lounge chair pic, which was from here), I created the above collage. They had so many beautiful displays that it was really hard to pick just ten pictures!
I’m a simple person when it comes to reading, so as long as I have a comfortable couch/bed/chair I’m all set. My dream, however, would be to have an endless breeze and a beautiful view. The first picture showing their outdoor furniture was probably the closest thing to my preferred aesthetic (if I could truly pick).
My absolute favourite spot to read was on this simple chair in my Grandmother’s apartment in Cuba. I would move it in front of her balcony door and the breeze would waltz in while I read by the natural light of the day. It was heaven. So many of these pictures make me think of that spot, especially the outdoor decor and the lounge chair with the watery view.
So, what do I absolutely wish for when it comes to my ideal reading nook? Natural lighting, a breeze to cool me off while I escape into fiction, comfortable seating (that white accent chair looks divine, and the bed looks like the kind of place I would never leave), and a beautiful view to captivate me while I occasionally come back from my musings.
Thank you, Molly, for making me really think about what my ideal reading nook would be!
Happy reading!
P.S. What would be your ideal reading nook? Are you laid back with your reading like me, or do you prefer to read in a room full of books? Let me know!
