when I started shipping it if I did: For me it took all the way until Dressrosa and the “if he dies, let me die by his side” line. Forgive me for my transgression. Headcanon-wise I generally have it as interest post-Archipelago while Law is caring for Luffy and start of full-blown feelings around Punk Hazard
my thoughts: Do incoherent noises, arm flailing, and pterodactyl shrieking count? Because that is all you are getting. I literally cannot accurately describe my feelings for these two. They are the light of my life, my joy, my everything. They own my whole entire ass.
what makes me happy about them: What doesn’t make me happy about them? They are perfect compliments of each other to encourage growth, security, and comfort on both sides. Also short/tall trope, battle couple, ball of sunshine and rain cloud trope, hurt/care, just all the wonderful tropes.
what makes me sad about them: Everything about Law. He is an angsty string bean and forever burdens my heart with his everything. All I want is for his happiness.
things done in fanfic that annoys me: Sexed up Law and Luffy. I heavily heavily HEAVILY headcanon Luffy as ace and Law as demi. Also just no one seems to get their personalities correct in any fan fic. Law tends to be ultra-suave and Luffy ultra-naive, Law ultra protective, Luffy ultra stupid, etc. I don’t usually read any OP fan fic after many many sad, disappointing encounters with it.
things I look for in fanfic: Anything Rachel writes. Give me bittersweetness and fluff. They deserve each other and happiness and snuggle in movie days on chilly rainy nights. Hand holding, soft kisses, cuddles, falling asleep on the couch…
who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: That is actually a tough one for me. Given the large number of characters in the show, I don’t really have many ships. For Luffy possibly Hancock or Zoro??? And for Law? Honestly whoever would make him happy and help him forgive himself for his past, show him how to heal and comfort him along the way.
my happily ever after for them: NOT FUCKING DEAD. In all seriousness though, all I want for them is comfort and care together sailing the high seas.
who is the big spoon/little spoon: Generally Law for big and Luffy for little due to sheer logistics, but I bet they toss and turn a lot at night so Luffy spoons him as well. So maybe like a 70/30 split big to little for Law and Luffy respectively.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Going for walks (particularly out to eat) when the weather permits. Law attempting to sneak out for starlight strolls when his insomnia acts up, but Luffy hearing him leave bed so him sleepily putting on shoes to join Law. Anything where the two of them can be together and at peace, usually in nature for it to soothe Law and enough space and stimulation to keep Luffy’s interest.
