it’s become their routine : jolene, half-drunk and heartbroken, being consoled by ari ( who’s heartbroken too, watching jolene get hurt by another man ). his heart has only ever beaten for her, but he’s sure she doesn’t want it. who would? ari tucks jolene in a blanket on the couch and hands her a mug of his famous hot chocolate. “he doesn’t deserve you, jo,” he’s said it a million times, but the words still carry the same weight and sentiment.
