Unpopular opinion but I actually like Ari. It’s not like she’s my favourite character or something, but I don’t mind her and I think she was too overhated by the fandom. I see most of people being so pissed at her only because she’s in the way of their ships, because apart from being sort of ambiguous between Samuel and Guzman, what did she even do to people wishing her death or bodyshaming her, comparing her looks with Carla, Lu and Nadia’s? Like I agree, she might not be as gorgeous and beautiful as those girls, but she still looks pretty, elegant and quite has her own charm, and I think her voice is actually very cute. She might not be the type of woman whose appearance could knock men on their feet in the first sight, but I’m not surprised when the boys would feel something fascinating about her.

As a separate character, she was an okay one. Like nothing she did was so horrible (enough for people to want her dead) comparing to the others in the show. Even I don’t have any judgment to anyone and I love Elite, but let’s be fair, we’re in a show to a bunch of flawed characters who all did a lot of bad things to one another and other people at some point. Like even Samuel and Guzman themselves used to be in a relationship that back and forth between two girls as well (Lu & Nadia and Carla & Rebeka), making the girls fight about them and deeply hurting their feelings. And don’t even let me start with other ones as well with the whole manipulating, cheating and treating each other terribly (I don’t give examples just because I don’t want to drag the characters who had nothing to do with the topic to defend one then start unnecessary debates here, but you all clearly understand what I meant). On the other hand, Ari also has some good redeeming qualities, like the way she cares for her family especially her younger sister and tries to protect her from their father’s strictness (even sometimes she’s not really good at expressing concerns that saying something hurtful to Mencía), she definitely attempts to warn Cayetana about Phillipe - although she could be a little mean about it...

And I don’t think Samuel and Guzman actually like her though, she’s just a subject that being caught up in their weird little competition of “who’s get the girl?” “who’s moving on from the leave of the love of our life faster?” and in the end, they both chose each other over her. And Samuel and Guzman ruined their friendship all on their own, she never asked them to fight over her, and I can’t blame her to be confused about who she wanted to be with for a while since Samu and Guzman was being unclear themself.
