"i just wanted to ask you: how should beginner shifters or shifters in general not get demotivated by anti-shifters, who repeatedly keep calling shifting "hallucinations" or "malpadative day dreaming"?"
I didn’t want to target anyone directly, so I decided to answer it this way. (so please send me an ask again if you read this for clarification, this is the first time I answer an ask as a post)
Do NOT take this personally but looking for external motivation or letting someone who has absolutely no place in your life, someone who doesn’t even know you (your experiences, your life, your thoughts and you as an observer), demotivate you with their words honestly pisses me off. Because you’re putting your power between someone else’s lips, forgetting that you are an ocean and seeking validation from a drop of water. And that hurts to see. So I want to approach your question from different angles.
Everything in your life acts as a mirror. Good or bad. Anything you read, any post you come across, any person, any text, even you asking me this question right now. Nothing is a coincidence. If there is a thesis, there must also be an antithesis. This is what creates existence just as much as absence. You can’t recognize something as “good” without understanding what “bad” is. So anti-shifters are not a problem, they are, in a way, motivation.
If you can believe people who say “shifting is a hallucination” then you are also capable of believing people who say “shifting is real.” And ask yourself this: is it really possible for this many people to be lying? With this much detail? With consistent patterns, similar experiences, similar processes? If they are lying, why would they dedicate so much time to it?
And let me make it personal: what kind of “imagination" “daydream” or “hallucination” could completely change someone’s belief system? What kind of hallucination would make someone goes from who believes in God and hell to accept the possibility of going to hell? What kind of hallucination would make someone spend their time writing posts like this, answering questions, sharing experiences?
A hallucination doesn’t teach you a new language. It doesn’t make you solve something you’ve never known before. It doesn’t let you remember years of lived experience in detail. The brain distorts what already exists (hallucination) but consciousness creates entirely new experiential fields (shifting). What kind of “imagination” could be so powerful that it completely dismantles a person’s core belief system?
If this is a dream, then dreams are more powerful than what we call reality.
Anti-shifters are not necessarily wrong from their own perspective. I can’t say they are lying, because within their framework, shifting really is seen as daydreaming or hallucination. And if they approach it from that perspective, then that becomes their reality.
But what about yours?
If reality is tied to the limits of your consciousness, then can something be unreal for someone else but real for you? We see this idea in so many so called "sci-fic" movies, especially The Matrix and Inception. It’s all right in front of us. Just like there’s a difference between looking and truly seeing, there’s also a difference in how reality is perceived.
My experiences, or any shifter’s experiences, don’t become less real just because someone else says so.
Hallucinations are inconsistent, short-lived and lack coherent structure because they are tied to brain chemistry. Daydreaming is also something you can clearly distinguish. If I ask you to imagine an elephant right now, you can do it in detail, right? But shifting is different, because it is a reality, not just imagination. How I'm so sure? Because I experienced it.
So how does an anti-shifter define reality?
Scientifically speaking, even our atoms never truly touch each other. Technically, you’re not actually “touching” anything. If reality is just electrical signals processed by your brain, then wouldn’t this reality also be a “hallucination”? Where do you place the quantum observer effect in this?
Without an observer (consciousness), particles exist only as probability waves. That means what we call “reality” is created in the moment through observation. So calling your OWN perceived illusion “the only real thing” while labeling SOMEONE ELSE'S observed reality as “hallucination” doesn’t that seem contradictory?
If everything is energy, which science already supports, then what’s stopping you from accepting something beyond what is currently known?
You believe in what is known today (which was unknown years ago), but what stops you from believing in what is currently unknown? (which could be known after years) If we only understand, say 50% of reality (and honestly I think it’s much less), stepping into the unknown 50% doesn’t make things worse, if anything it makes everything more exciting. :)
You have two choices: to believe or not to believe.
But even your belief is not required for shifting. So why place yourself on the side that limits you?
If I call you stupid, does that make you stupid? If you cut your hand and someone tells you “it’s nothing” but your brain processes the pain intensely, does it stop hurting? Not for you because you are the observer. You are experiencing that pain.
Perception and perspective.
Someone telling me that my experiences aren’t real does not make them hallucinations. It does not change the fact that they are my reality. Because I'm my own observer, in my own reality.
And let’s say, for the sake of argument, that everything is just a hallucination created by my brain. Then doesn’t that prove how little we actually understand consciousness? That the brain can create an entire reality, make you live years within it, experience it fully?
Then that just means science still has a long way to go.
The only person who can prove shifting to you is yourself. No one else can do that for you. You are the one who interprets the difference.
Personally, I’ve experienced enough to clearly distinguish between normal dreams, lucid dreams, astral projection, void state and shifting. They are NOT the same.
If you get easily demotivated, then don’t read those posts. Block them. Move on. But remember, those posts can also push you toward proving it to yourself. When I had my first shift, I was so tired of not being able to prove it to myself that I was ready to shift to a completely random reality just to confirm it.
So whether you see these posts as demotivating or motivating depends entirely on your perspective.
I can’t promise that you won’t feel demotivated. Until you prove it to yourself, your brain will keep functioning within the limits of this human experience. Even after proving it, doubts may still come because you’re still experiencing being human in this reality.
The key is accepting that demotivation can exist without defining you.
If you can say: “I might feel demotivated but this doesn’t define me. Just like someone calling me stupid doesn’t make me stupid” then you can start using it to your advantage.
Doubts are normal. Feeling demotivated is normal. But none of these change your essence.
Nothing changes the fact that you are pure consciousness.
If there is one universal truth across all realities, it is this: you are pure awareness beyond all forms, an energy capable of taking any form.
No, we are not crazy. No, we are not just daydreamers or hallucinating people. Because if that were true, wouldn’t this reality also be filled with uncontrollable hallucinations? Wouldn’t life itself become unstable for shifters?
If you have too many doubts, try to build your own logical framework. Not because you need logic to shift, you don’t, but because it might help you feel more grounded.
That’s what I did. I looked into religion, then spirituality, then science and found a common ground between them. That’s how things started making sense for me.
Long story short: You can feel demotivated. You can have doubts. You don’t even have to believe. None of these are obstacles to shifting. What matters is not what others say, it’s your own perspective. Even what I’m saying doesn’t matter as much as what you feel is true. If 2+2=5 is true in your reality, then that is your reality because you are already living according to it. What matters is internal consistency within your perceived reality.
Turning demotivation into motivation is entirely about perspective.
So try to look at things from different angles. Accept that you may feel demotivated but do not let it define you. Your essence can not be changed.
Remember that you are pure consciousness.
Trust yourself. Trust that inner voice. Because deep down, you already know what is true.
I don’t know if this is exactly the explanation you were looking for but I hope it helps. And I'm sorry if that sounds harsh (because writing is different than speaking and believe me I wrote all of them in a nice way) but I think some of you guys need to hear this.
And if you ever have more questions or if something feels unclear, don’t hesitate to ask!
What recommendations do you have for going to the void tonight? 🙏🏻
Hi anon!
I’ll keep it as simple as I can. Instead of just a recommendation, this can be more like a direct method.
Put a "Left-Right Brain Sync" Frequency (use your headphones).
Lie down in any position you want (preferably the one you feel the most comfortable in and the one you usually fall asleep in) and close your eyes.
Set your intention.
Watch the darkness behind your eyes and repeat an affirmation you’ve chosen. (Something like “I am pure consciousness” or “I am pure awareness”)
During this process, try not to fall asleep. Just keep observing the emptiness behind your eyes, you’ll realize when you enter the void. (You might start seeing tiny white lights, kind of like little stars. If you do, just follow them! Before you know it, you'll find yourself in the void.)
Honestly, it’s really that simple! Just don’t overthink whether you’re in the void or panic about it. Stay calm and keep your focus on your affirmations and the darkness behind your eyes.
And if you ever have more questions or if something feels unclear, don’t hesitate to ask!

you don’t have to agree with everything I say, some parts might not fully click for you, and that’s okay! you don’t have to believe every single word. what matters is how you interpret and use what i share according to your own beliefs. (you don't even have to use them or interpret at all!) i can only offer what i’ve experienced and what i believe, it’s up to you to make it your own.
HEY!
so i just had 2 questions to ask you:
1. When you see researchers dismissing shifting as malapadative daydreaming does it make you upset, or are you indifferent to it? and do you get a feeling that they might be right and that after death we all cease to have any consciouness at all?
2. do u believe in the concept of enligtenment? like do u think we might escape this cycle of life and rebirth?
Ty for your time:)
Oh my goodness, I LOVE this question!! (read with Lola Tung's voice)
Hi anon! :)
First of all, thank you so much for asking this question!
Second of all.. fasten your seatbelts, because I'm probably about to start from the beginning of the universe lol So this might, no, it will be a very long answer. (It took me about three days to finish writing this, and now that I'm finally done.. I think this might actually be the longest answer I've ever written. There was still so much more I wanted to say, but I didn't want to make it even longer. If anything feels unclear, if you think I didn't answer part of your question, or if you're left with more questions afterward, please don't hesitate to ask again!)
Instead of answering your questions one by one, I think I'm going to blend them together a little. (I'm almost certain I'll go off on a bunch of tangents along the way, so please bear with me! I just hope that by the end of this post, you'll be able to see things from the perspective I want to share with you. And I promise it'll all come together in the end!)
First of all, I have to say that this doesn't really make me sad, it makes me question things. And honestly, I think questioning is one of the best things you can do because it allows you to approach things from different angles and perspectives.
There's something I've always believed: if there's a thesis, there has to be an antithesis. Nothing in the universe exists without its opposite. Because in order to understand what "good" is, you first have to understand "bad" How could you know something is good if you've never experienced its opposite?
That's also why I like challenging my own beliefs. When I'm able to argue against my own ideas and they still hold up, that's when they start making sense to me.
Now I want you to imagine that you're God. Anything you can imagine becomes reality. Time, space, creation.. everything is entirely in your hands. Every dream you have instantly comes true. You can experience anything you want. You can become anyone you want. At first, you'd probably chase your desires. In one dream, you'd taste every delicious meal imaginable. In another, you'd experience the greatest love. You'd create music no human has ever heard before. Maybe you'd even create angels who worship you, and you'd continue like that for what feels like forever. But eventually.. you'd get bored. You'd want excitement. So this time, you'd create beings capable of opposing you, demons, devils, dragons.. They could never truly harm you, but they'd create the feeling of risk. Because you're God. You'd want to experience everything. You'd want to know who you are in the face of danger. And eventually, you'd say, "I'm going to have a dream so convincing that I'll forget I'm God. I'll even forget I'm dreaming. I'll become completely immersed in the experience and feel like an ordinary being." So you enter that dream. You experience pain as if it's real. Love. Loneliness. Struggle. Joy. Loss. And then one day.. you remember who you are. Can you imagine the shock? At first, you'd think you'd discovered your creator. You'd fall in love with them. But eventually, you'd realize there was never a lover and a beloved. There were never two separate beings. There was only you. And perhaps.. that would be the greatest experience you could ever have. (This part was inspired by Alan Watts' "The Dream of God" concept. I originally came across a version of it on Instagram, but unfortunately I don't remember the account, so I can't properly credit them.)
Now I want you to imagine something else.
I want you to imagine something that has never existed. Anything at all. Can you? Whatever comes to your mind has most likely crossed someone else's mind too. No matter how absurd or impossible you think your idea is, I'm almost certain someone, somewhere, has imagined the same thing. And I think that's interesting. Because maybe it means that we don't actually create ideas out of absolute nothingness. Maybe the things we think we're inventing already exist in some form. Otherwise.. how could we even imagine them in the first place?
Have you ever noticed how we all seem to go through the same experiences?
Like being afraid that a fishing hook might somehow fly into your eye while someone is fishing. Or those weird dreams you had as a child whenever you had a fever, where objects would suddenly become enormous or tiny. (I actually saw a video about this recently, and the moment I watched it, I remembered experiencing exactly the same thing as a kid!) Almost everyone grows up having incredibly similar childhood experiences, from physical ones to emotional ones. Making little forts by pushing chairs or couches together because they somehow made you feel safe. Drawing on the walls (or at least desperately wanting to because nobody would let you). Trying to keep the light switch exactly in the middle. Making a circle with your hand just to watch water flow through it. Stirring your soup and then suddenly changing directions for absolutely no reason. And so many other little things.
And what's even more interesting is that these were things people did long before technology connected us all.
Let me tell you another little secret. Thousands of years ago, your ancestors also slept in tents they built with their own hands. They left drawings on cave walls that survived until today.
So how is it that even in times when communication was incredibly limited, people still seemed to have almost identical experiences?
Honestly, all of this makes me think there's something like a collective consciousness.
And if that's true.. then maybe we've already known everything all along.
Personally, I believe we're all born already carrying every piece of knowledge we'll ever need. I believe in reincarnation, but even if you don't, it's hard to deny genetic inheritance. In a way, every child is the continuation of those who came before them. Whether consciously or unconsciously, they carry fragments of their ancestors' experiences. Have you ever noticed how sometimes you ask yourself a question and somehow already know the answer? Or how, when you're reading someone's energy, whether through tarot or any other spiritual practice, you somehow receive answers about them too?
Maybe that's because, at your core, you were never truly separate from them.
No matter how much we're taught to forget, that awareness underneath never actually disappears. And because of that, I think we already hold the answers to every question somewhere within ourselves.
Have you ever wondered why people always say children are "pure"?
I think it's because they exist as pure consciousness before they're fully programmed by their subconscious beliefs. Only later, when those subconscious beliefs begin shaping the way they perceive reality, does the cycle begin, the journey of remembering who they really are. That's why I think children's experiences are so important. Whenever a child asks one of those random "What if..?" questions, I honestly think there's a chance they're asking about something they already know on some level :) A few days ago, I came across a video of what looked like an eight or nine year old girl. She said, "What if the reason we feel tired even when we haven't done anything is because another version of us in a parallel universe is exhausted?"
Well.. :)
How does a child grasp the idea of parallel universes so naturally and explain it so effortlessly?
There's another example I'd love to mention, but I think it'd be more fun if you looked into it yourself. I don't want to spoil everything, right?
If you search for "the Syrian child from the Golan Heights reincarnation" I think you'll find the story I'm talking about. (And if you can't find it, then you can always ask me and I'll gladly tell you about it!) I first read it years ago in Trutz Hardo's "Children Who Have Lived Before", and honestly.. it left such a strong impression on me that I still remember it to this day.
How do we dream? Normally, our brains process electrical signals, right? Technically speaking, light has to enter our eyes, those signals get processed, and our brain turns them into what we perceive as reality. So.. when your eyes are closed, how are you still able to imagine things? How are you still able to see entire worlds in your dreams?
We've also been taught that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it only transforms. And if you look at most religions, you'll notice they all share a similar idea: the soul is eternal. Whether it's heaven or hell, the one constant is simply existing. (We always think like we talk about different things with different names, but the core idea always remains the same.)
If energy can't be created from nothing or disappear into nothing, then any existing energy must simply transform into something else, right? Even the atoms in your own body aren't actually touching each other. In fact, technically speaking, you aren't truly "touching" anything at all. What feels solid is mostly empty space held together by electromagnetic forces.
So in a way, isn't that another reminder that we're fundamentally vibration? That matter isn't quite as solid as it first appears?
Now I want you to try something for a while. Repeat to yourself: "I am pure consciousness" and "I am pure awareness"
And while you're going about your day, simply notice. Notice yourself breathing. Notice yourself reading these words. Notice yourself blinking. Notice yourself brushing your teeth. Notice every tiny action. After a while, you'll begin to feel as if you're observing everything from somewhere behind your own mind, as if you're simply watching.
And that's exactly the point.
I'd also really recommend looking into Plato's Allegory of the Cave, Schrödinger's Cat, and especially the Double-Slit Experiment. (I think I've talked about some of these in previous asks, I'm not sure I'll ever find those posts again tho)
The deeper you go into these topics, the more you'll realize that you've probably already known the answers to many of the questions you're asking. (And maybe.. asking this question wasn't a coincidence either :) )
Recently, there has also been a lot of discussion about a woman who experienced a coma, I don't know if you've heard about her. While she was in a coma, she described living an entirely different life where she had a spouse and children. If you're curious, you can look up Clélia Verdier coma and read about her experience yourself.
Now let me ask you something. How do you know you're dreaming? Dreams don't really have a beginning or an end, do they? You simply find yourself somewhere, and everything unfolds from there. Try remembering the very beginning of any dream you've ever had. Now try remembering the exact moment you were born. Or even the exact moment your awareness arrived (?) in this reality. You know what I'm trying to say, don't you? :)
So far I've mostly talked about the more "imaginative" side of this discussion.
Let's call that the thesis of the story.
But if everything in the universe exists alongside its opposite, then naturally there has to be an antithesis too. (And don't worry, I'm even going to question the antithesis itself. Hopefully this becomes more clarifying than confusing)
So..
Could all of this simply be something happening entirely inside our minds? Could it all just be something like maladaptive daydreaming/lucid dreaming?
Well..
In this life, anything is possible.
If we approach it purely from a rational perspective, maybe someone with an extraordinarily vivid imagination could create an experience that feels incredibly real. At least, with the evidence we currently have, we can't completely rule that possibility out.
BUT
According to my own experiences, there's a HUGE difference between simply imagining something and actually shifting. When I first started this blog, I made a promise to myself that I would never write about or recommend anything I hadn't personally experienced. And after experiencing astral projection, lucid dreaming, and shifting, what I realized is that they're all completely different experiences.
For one thing, maladaptive daydreaming comes with its own symptoms even in this reality, things like talking to yourself, from what I've researched at least. Shifting, on the other hand, is something you can do even while this body remains fully awake. If shifting were only possible while sleeping, then yes, I probably would've said it was just a dream. And I think @masoncantthinkofaname talks about this really well! They're especially experienced when it comes to awake shifting.
So if we look at shifting through the lens of maladaptive daydreaming, then we've already arrived at the antithesis of the antithesis.
But what if we push that antithesis even further?
How do you know someone is actually "crazy"? Are the people we call crazy really crazy? And if I told you I don't think they're crazy at all.. would that make me the crazy one? Or would it simply mean that maybe our definition of "crazy" isn't as absolute as we think?
Now let's bring brain chemistry into the discussion.
A while ago, I watched a video where someone claimed that their brain activity actually changed whenever they shifted. More specifically, the signals their brain was producing were different. Of course, this was only one person, so for this to mean anything scientifically we'd need much larger sample sizes, proper control groups, and much more data. But let's stick with this one example for now.
If I remember correctly, they were measuring it with a smartwatch. Whenever they shifted, the data looked different from when they were simply asleep. Back then, it made me wonder, "Could shifting actually just be a more advanced version of maladaptive daydreaming.. or maybe lucid dreaming?"
But then I realized.. that idea itself had another antithesis.
Why do certain brain states make shifting easier in the first place? What's the common denominator?
Because if shifting were really nothing more than something happening entirely inside your imagination, then shouldn't you be able to do it instantly, regardless of your brain state? Just as easily as I could ask you to imagine yourself riding a pink winged elephant across the ocean.
But interestingly enough, shifting, and many other spiritual experiences like the void state or astral projection, most commonly occur during theta brainwave states.
See? Once again, we're talking about energy and frequency.
(I want to make a small note here before anyone misunderstands me. I absolutely believe it's possible to shift at any moment and in any brain state. However, most people seem to find it much easier through theta based states and methods because becoming aware of yourself as pure consciousness is simply easier there. I hope that makes sense.)
So..
What exactly is the theta state? Why is it so important?
Vibration.
Everything is vibration.
The significance of the theta state is that it's the moment you remember that you're pure consciousness. It's the point where your body begins to relax completely and your awareness starts drifting toward sleep. That space between being awake and asleep, when you're in theta, is the moment you remember your true nature. Why? Because your human shell, your body, is beginning to shut down. The moment you let it "power off" you remember that you're far more than this physical body.
So, to summarize everything we've talked about so far: could scientists be right? Could it be that after death, there's simply nothing, no consciousness, no continuation? Yes. That's absolutely a possibility.
But if everything has both a thesis and an antithesis, and if everything exists in constant cycles of transformation, then it's also possible that we're continuously becoming something else. That's a possibility too.
Oh and I want to mention one more example.
For a long time, I wondered whether neurodivergent people, those with ADHD, for example, might simply perceive reality through a different lens. I don't mean "special" in the sense of being superior, just.. different. I remember thinking there might even be a spiritual connection worth exploring. Then, after I had that thought, I realized other people had wondered the exact same thing. It almost felt as though I wasn't discovering the idea, I was remembering it.
What if the people society labels as "different" are actually the ones who are closest to what's normal?
(And just to be clear, absolutely no offense intended. I don't think neurodivergent people are "crazy" nor do I think anyone is. I'm only using that wording because society has historically treated them as outsiders)
But who gets to define what's "normal" anyway?
What if these people simply think more deeply than the rest of us? What if, in trying to suppress spirituality or our true nature, we've accidentally normalized what's unnatural and labeled what's natural as abnormal?
So whenever I come across scientific skepticism, I don't see it as something discouraging. I see it as an opportunity to build an antithesis, to explore another perspective. Rather than upsetting me, it actually excites me because it opens the door to new ways of thinking.
In many ways, I approach these questions like a scientist myself. But I think the real beauty lies in being able to bring both perspectives together. Because even from a scientific point of view, if we are ultimately forms of energy, and energy can never truly disappear, then that means we, too, must transform into something else.
Even if it's simply as atoms. As soil. As nitrogen. And what if, purely from a statistical standpoint, those atoms that once belonged to a human body eventually came together again?
What if every single particle that once made up someone dispersed throughout the universe, only to someday reunite into another complete human body?
Well.. :)
When it comes to enlightenment, I think I see it a little differently than most people. To me, it isn't about becoming some chosen one or reaching the level of an enlightened guru. I think enlightenment is entirely experiential.
Let me explain what I mean by that.
If you look at most religions, you'll notice they constantly talk about heaven and hell. Good people are associated with love, while bad people are defined by the qualities we consider negative. Ever since I was a child, one question never left my mind:
"Why would God want to punish us?"
If I don't believe in God but genuinely try to be a good person, would I really deserve hell simply because I didn't believe? Meanwhile, someone who believes in God but spends their life hurting others would deserve heaven?
That never made sense to me.
Of course, people later introduced ideas like the seven levels of heaven and the seven levels of hell, saying they're not all the same and that everything depends on different circumstances. Because of questions like these, I used to seem secular around religious people and religious around secular people. Now.. I think I'm simply philosophical around everyone lol
At this point, I'd like to talk a little more about regression and reincarnation.
The religion I was born into doesn't teach reincarnation, yet I've believed in it for as long as I can remember. (Tho, interestingly enough, some people argue that reincarnation can be found within those traditions too. Even religions are open to interpretation)
When I experienced a regression session, you can think of it as a past life meditation, although mine was much more in depth, I saw myself being killed in one of those lives.
Up until that moment, I genuinely believed I was just making the images up. But then, without me telling her anything, the practitioner suddenly said "I felt that you were murdered."
That was the moment I realized.. maybe I hadn't been inventing it after all. And I think that experience became one of the strongest foundations for my belief in a collective consciousness. (After claiming myself crazy and after accepting my spiritual side for sure)
In my opinion, everything is already recorded in our cellular memory. (I mean, scientists can make lab grown neurons learn to play games, so what more proof do we need that cells can learn?) Cells genuinely retain information. And if you carry the cellular memory of your ancestors, then, in a way, you also carry fragments of their experiences. Their fears, their knowledge, their patterns. Whether you interpret reincarnation as inherited cellular memory or as your own consciousness returning in another life, reincarnation can be seen as "real" from multiple perspectives.
Personally, I lean more toward the idea of actually returning to life. The main reason for that is the concept of judgment. Going back to the question I asked earlier: How does God punish anyone? Or.. are we simply trapped in a cycle?
Now, everything I'm about to say reflects my personal beliefs and interpretations (to be fair, this entire post does tho). Imagine you come into this world without believing in any religion, or maybe you're born into a terrible environment. That immediately raises another question: if we all begin with completely different circumstances, how could we possibly be judged by the exact same standard?
Even in the worst possible environment, you always have a choice. You can continue down a destructive path, or you can recognize the opportunities to become a kinder, better person. Ultimately, your choices are still yours.
And I truly believe nothing happens without a reason. Every experience you have, whether you call it good or bad, is ultimately leading you back to remembering your true nature as pure consciousness.
To me, the real purpose is recognizing why darkness exists so you can consciously choose light. Of course, even those definitions change from person to person. I honestly think of life almost like leveling up in a game. (I feel like I'm struggling to explain this properly, but hopefully it makes sense.) After all, many traditions describe seven levels of heaven and seven levels of hell, whether that's literally true or symbolic.
Because of that, when your life comes to an end, I don't believe someone else judges you. I think you're the one who judges yourself. In a sense, we're already experiencing both heaven and hell here on Earth, and we're the ones creating both of them.
I also believe we choose where we're born and who our families are, as difficult as that idea can be to accept. As painful as it sounds, even the life you sometimes wish you hadn't lived may have been a choice you made before coming here.
Think of it like writing a shifting script. Don't you sometimes include hardships or emotional struggles to make the story feel more meaningful and “realistic”? Who's to say that, before you learned about shifting, you didn't intentionally choose this reality? Who's to say you didn't script that you would forget shifting entirely once you got here?
Anyway, my point is that your experiences shape you, and in the end, you're the one deciding where you stand. If you haven't yet reached what could be called the highest level of heaven, perhaps you simply return for another lesson. You're your own judge.
I've actually had this idea for a very long time, but I was surprised when I later discovered other people had independently come to the same conclusion.
To me, Nirvana represents that highest state, the seventh level, complete unity with God, source, or universal consciousness. (Interestingly, in theta healing, everything is also said to happen on the seventh plane) It's that state of unconditional love where separation disappears.
The deepest level of hell, on the other hand, could be understood as complete emptiness, isolation, or the illusion of separation. A place where you're essentially punishing yourself.
Again, it's another example of the thesis and antithesis existing together. They're not actually separate from one another.
(A little side note: our bodies are also said to contain seven chakras. And honestly.. is it really possible that all of these recurring patterns are just coincidences? The crown chakra, located at the top of your head, is traditionally associated with divine consciousness and source, while the root chakra represents grounding and attachment to the physical world. Many spiritual traditions suggest that the more attached we become to material reality, the further we drift from our connection to the divine. Of course, that's a huge topic on its own, and if I started explaining chakras in detail, this answer would probably turn into an entire book)
Now, I think this is exactly where breaking the rebirt-life cycle happens. The moment you truly realize that you are pure consciousness, you break the entire code. Every experience you've ever had, every question you've ever asked, ultimately leads you to one single point: pure consciousness.
The moment you understand and experience yourself as pure consciousness, I believe the cycle breaks. That's where the idea of quantum immortality comes into play. You realize that you exist as pure energy. Of course, unless at some point you decide that you want to return here and begin the cycle all over again.
Some people say shifting isn't spiritual, but to me, it's one of the experiences that brings you closest to what many traditions call "nirvana". The moment you recognize yourself as pure consciousness, you're technically able to experience other lives and finally discover how to use your true nature.
You are not separate from God or the universe, and neither is the universe or God separate from you. (Whatever you believe, I mean. If you don’t even believe in God, you’re not seperated from the consciousness too) If God is an ocean, then you are one of its drops. Everything exists through its opposite, and through the opposite of its opposite, creating an endless cycle. Even the ending of this post circles back to the beginning, just like the "imagine you're God" story I mentioned earlier.
At the same time, I also believe that people experience what they believe. My truth is true for me. What someone else considers false may be true for me, and what I consider false may be true for someone else. That's entirely shaped by our previous experiences and everything we've carried with us. The realities we experience are built upon our own truths and beliefs. But I think the ultimate purpose is always the same: reaching the truth. One essence. One destination. The realization that you are pure consciousness.
This is what I believe. Since these are my truths, they are my reality. If you believe something different, then that's your reality. And after death, I believe you'll experience whatever you truly believe in. If you believe you'll go to heaven, you'll experience heaven. If you believe in hell, then hell. If you believe you'll reincarnate, then you'll reincarnate. And if you truly wish for nothingness, then you'll experience nothingness.
No concept of God has ever truly disappeared. Whether you call it the Universe, God, Allah, Goddess, or anything else, I don't believe they're separate from one another. And you're not separate from them either. If there's a cycle, you have the power to end it. If there isn't one, then you have the power to create it. Deep down, I believe everyone is referring to the same source. That's simply where I've arrived. But if you believe they're all different, then for you, they are different. In the end, you'll experience reality through the beliefs you hold.
That said, I don't want any of this to come across as if I'm claiming to know the absolute truth. These are simply the conclusions that make sense to me based on my own experiences and personal beliefs. They're the answers I arrived at after connecting the dots. If anything, the only thing I truly know is that I know nothing. And there's still so much I want to learn.
In the end, all of my experiences have led me toward believing in a collective consciousness. Especially because of how we all seem to share incredibly similar experiences, how unknown things somehow become known, and even because some people can perceive future events, including myself. Could death simply be an endless void? Maybe. Even though it doesn't feel like the most convincing explanation to me, it honestly doesn't scare me anymore. After experiencing the void state and existing without form, even the idea of nothingness feels peaceful.
So, to sum everything up, I believe we'll all become one consciousness without ever becoming unconscious, unless that's what we truly choose. Whatever cycle we want to experience is the one we'll experience.
To me, enlightenment exists only to the extent that you allow yourself to experience it. And the moment you become enlightened, the entire cycle breaks.
Thank you so much for asking this question.
I feel like there were a few parts where my thoughts got a little messy. When I reread them, there were moments where even I thought "What exactly was I trying to say here?" But I still hope that, even if it isn't perfectly clear, it gives you a new perspective and encourages you to question things for yourself.
If you ever have more questions or if something feels unclear, don't hesitate to ask!
Thank you for your time too, and have a lovely day!
Hey, sorry if u talked abt this but have u entered the void state yet? :D
(I couldnt find anything, but perhaps I am just blind lol. Have a nice day!!)
Hi anon! It’s totally normal that you couldn’t find anything about this topic, because I actually don’t have any posts about the void state! :)
But yes, I did enter the void state a few times! Unfortunately, it happened unintentionally. I’m not really someone who tries to “get into” the void state (I don’t even think it’s something you get into, you know?), but I can honestly say it was one of the best things I’ve ever experienced!
So, I might not be the best person to answer specific questions about the void (if you have any), but I can definitely tell you what it felt like for me! Everyone’s journey is different, so maybe mine can help you understand yours a bit better.
The first time I entered the void, I didn’t even realize I was in it. But after experiencing it a few more times, I finally understood, or at least made sense of it!
To be honest, the only thing I remember doing was following a small white light?
But unlike what most people describe, there wasn’t any darkness or empty space around me. There were stars everywhere, or at least what looked like tiny, glowing white lights that I thought were stars.
And the best part? I had no body at all, yet I could see everything around me!
It felt like having eyes on the back of my head, actually, all over my head? If I can find a gif that describes how it felt, I’ll definitely add it! (yeah I found it)
I didn’t manifest anything, not even shifting.
I just enjoyed the moment, because it was such a pure and beautiful experience for me. I didn’t stay there for too long, honestly (though maybe time works differently, I’m not sure?), but it was still the most peaceful thing I’ve ever experienced.
Being able to see everything at once, without even having a body.. it was just unreal kinda feeling.
Sorry for yapping too much..
Long story short: unintentionally, yes.
And if you ever have more questions or if something still feels unclear, don’t hesitate to ask!
Thank you, have a lovely day, and thank you for your time too!
I shifted like 10mins ago, it was "just wow", I was lying on my bed I did nothing but just lying (on my side as I am side sleeper) I didn't care abt anything in the 3d I was in my imagination and and then I suddenly fell from my bed and I knew it I left my physical body then I was still in the same bedroom, my goal was to enter the void state but, I shifted instead. Before shifting I tried so hard to enter the void state, I had the feeling of being pulled in my head, then my feet and my hand but... No void state anymore, I shifted into a random reality, it wasn't one of my drs (maybe because I told myself I really should change my reality now), I stayed there like more than 4hours, but I slept like less than 2hours, It was blurry at first but then it became clearer and vivid, I was a girl in this reality (I a boy in this cr) and then it was a magical reality, a old man told me " In your reality, the reason why people there aren't magical is because they teach that to you since you were kid" (I talked to him abt me) and I then everything went blurry because I wanted to go back to this cr. This was my first shift and it was crazy❤😭 I also saw a guy similar to my crush there👀❤
My question is abt how to end up doing things we intended but not like my situation??? Iwanted to enter to void because I wanna revise lots of things in this cr (it's not a void state question but, I want you to help me too if you can). You helped me so much in my journey (sorry English is not my 1st language)
I love your blog so much❤ I know lots of things abt shifting bc of you❤. Sorry it was longer.
Hi hi hi! :)
First of all CONGRATULATIONS!? You shifted?! We should absolutely celebrate this?!
And secondly, before I answer your ask, your account actually caught my attention a few days before you sent this. Most of the time I miss notifications and they usually just show up as something like “+3 notifications” on my phone but yours specifically appeared with your username and for some reason it stood out to me! Probably because of your username (which honestly felt like a personal sign for me) and I still have the screenshot on my phone! What a coincidence! (which is not actually) I’m really so happy you wrote to me!
And the place you shifted to.. :( That’s amazing! And I completely agree with what that man said: “In your reality, the reason why people there aren’t magical is because they teach that to you since you were a kid.” That’s exactly what I always say! We were only convinced that we don’t have that essence because we were taught that we don’t but in reality, that essence is exactly what we are!
And honestly, having your first shift be random can sometimes be even more motivating! I’m genuinely so happy for you! I have no doubt that next time it’ll be your DR. And seeing your crush.. that reminded me of the time I randomly found myself at an airport and told my s/o “hug me.” Don’t ask why.
Now, about your actual question personally, I think the reason comes from the fact that we’re still holding onto certain things, still kind of trying.
It’s a little different because for DRs (or the void, in your case), the mindset becomes: “I’m trying to shift to my DR / I’m trying to get into the void.”
But for random realities or random shifts, it feels more like: “I’m shifting / I’m getting into the void.”
If you know what I mean.
For me too, going to random realities is honestly much easier. Because when I attempt shifting, my goal isn’t a specific reality and I can fully place my focus on myself as pure consciousness. My only focus becomes having an OOBE or experiencing that pure consciousness state and sometimes I just find myself in the void.
From my perspective, shifting happens in stages (this doesn’t mean it has to be like this for everyone it works this way for me because this is how I convinced myself of it; otherwise, yes, setting an intention is enough). Since I got used to astral projection/lucid dreaming first, I feel like I need to experience my pure consciousness state before shifting happens. That’s like the next step for me.
During my last OOBE, while thinking about going to my DR, I realized I was thinking about my DRself but not thinking like my DRself. There’s actually a very subtle but important difference there.
In my previous random shifts, I would just suddenly become aware in the middle of a situation. But in that thin line, where awareness can slip away before grounding yourself, it becomes much easier to either fall back into a dream, become lucid or return from a shift.
That’s why it’s important to know yourself in that moment and use trial and error. In many of my random realities, before returning, I would shift somewhere else first or my awareness would slip into a dream state again.
For my next attempt, I’m thinking about either focusing on thinking like my DRself or grounding myself first in a random reality and then shifting from there into the reality I actually choose.
(Honestly, I haven’t had much motivation or time to shift lately so I wish I could test this and give you a better answer from direct experience but for now, unfortunately, you only get theories 😭)
So basically, the core of it is finding the position where you feel the most comfortable and experimenting from there.
You could try grounding yourself in a random reality first and then moving your awareness into the void from there but that might also make things more complicated for you. The important part is finding variations of a method and adapting them until they work for you.
For example, when I try to shift to my DR, I put way too much pressure on myself. I overthink, I focus too much and even achieving the first stage becomes complicated. I end up making things harder for myself.
It was the same with my first lucid dreams I was trying so hard to stay in that dream state and not wake up that I was actually making shifting harder.
Sometimes you have to let it happen. Just let it happen and stop trying so hard.
Did you shift while trying to enter the void? Great, enjoy it! Ground yourself in that reality and maybe on your way back, you can stop by the void too. Or maybe you won’t even need the void, you might just permashift to another reality where everything you want is already there!
Believe me, everything is under your control. You know better than I do what will work for you and how you should do it. I found what worked for me step by step, by asking myself. So ask yourself the same.
And if you enter a random reality again while trying for the void, instead of returning, affirm that you’re already in the void. Or ground yourself there and move your awareness into the void from that point after grounding yourself. Or just stay permanently in a reality where you already have everything you want. Your random experiences are also precious and be mindful and grateful for them too!
Moving between states is actually very easy, we’re the ones who make it difficult for ourselves.
I hope this was helpful for you! And your English is totally fine, don’t worry! And the longer is better!
And thank you so much for your kind words too. It makes me really happy knowing that what I write can help someone.
You already knew everything about shifting, I just helped you remember it a little! :)
Thank you for sharing your story! And thank you for unknowingly sending me a sign too haha.
And if you ever have more questions or if something feels unclear, don’t hesitate to ask!
hi! i’m wondering lately can you just decide to shift? like it’s completely in your control, but for some people it just takes a bit of time for them to figure it out and get it to “click” and that’s why not everyone shifts right away? i’ve been scared lately that i have to take years to shift because “im not special” or “what if”, etc.
Hi anon! :)
Thank you for your ask!
Short answer: Yes, you can just decide to shift and shift.
But let me explain it in a longer way too, as much as I can from my perspective.
Shifting is not something you have to “achieve” and it’s not some kind of superpower or special talent. It’s not a unique ability that only a certain group of people has. You can check this post to better understand what I’m trying to explain.
Shifting is more like remembering what you’re capable of. Imagine that you learned how to ride a bicycle, but then you didn’t ride one for years. Twenty years later you decide to ride a bike again. Do you learn how to ride it all over again, or do you simply remember how to ride it? Shifting is actually very similar to that!
For many people, the fears that last for years are actually learned perceptions of reality based on the things we see and read around us. Since childhood, we are taught that there is only one absolute reality and by adapting to that reality, things that seem like “imagination” or “nonsense” start to be viewed as something that doesn’t fit social norms.
But the truth is you are already shifting every moment with the choices you make right now! If shifting were a special talent, you would also need a special effort just to make decisions in this reality.
You don’t need methods to shift. You can shift with intention alone and you could shift right now if you wanted to. But sometimes, to make the process easier, using things like subliminals, methods, or anything else that feels right to you and that you believe will help you shift doesn’t make you different from people who shift only with intention. We all need a little support sometimes.
Years ago, a friend of mine shifted without even realizing that they had shifted (in this post). For me, it took five years to shift because I was trying to fully figure things out and understand the mechanism behind it in my own way (in this post). Another friend of mine shifted on their very first try, even though the only thing they knew about shifting was what I had explained to them. Because I told them they could do it on their first try and that they didn’t need any special talent. They trusted me, tried it and succeeded!
So it all really depends on your perspective.
Can you shift on your first try? Yes!
Do you need a method? No!
Is intention alone enough to shift? Yes!
But can extra things like methods and subliminals help? Also yes!
So this whole process is actually about what you have perceived so far in your life and which beliefs you have accepted as true. (And you can change them anytime!)
You can shift while you’re depressed. You can shift even if you don’t fully believe in it. You can shift without figuring everything out. You can shift without having a “click” moment. You can shift while sleeping, while fully awake, while lying in a starfish position or even while moving around.
Believe me, this is very personal and everyone has their own journey. That’s why the person who will know what works best for you and which method feels easiest is ultimately you. If someone tells you “you can’t shift like that” it’s very important that you run away from that mindset. But if someone says “this method might help” there’s no harm in trying it.
If you’re new to shifting, I think you can try a few methods and continue with the one that resonates with you the most. Or you can directly ask yourself questions like the ones in this post and find the method that feels easiest for you. Believe me, you have infinite time. For me, I basically had to do nothing to shift, that’s how I succeeded.
Believe me, I still can’t shift every single time either. I still need my method sometimes, and that’s not a problem at all! When I get caught up in everyday life and forget that I'm pure consciousness, I also need to practice a bit again to remind myself of this ability. Because that’s the way I believe, and I enjoy the process.
I think enjoying the process is important too. Instead of focusing only on the final result, appreciating even the smallest positive progress can help you a lot. For example, I used to feel happy when my dreams started becoming clearer and more vivid and I still do! I was happy when I managed to lucid dream. I was happy when I had astral experiences even if I didn’t shift. Or even shifting somewhere random instead of my DR could still be exciting! Because if someone had told me a year ago that I would eventually succeed in astral projection, lucid dreaming, and shifting after trying for years, I probably wouldn’t have believed them.
So it really doesn’t matter how long or how short it takes for you to shift. You could shift right now if you wanted to, just deciding is enough. But if you need support or if it takes longer for you (which honestly is less likely), just listen to yourself and try to enjoy the process!
It doesn’t have to be perfect. Let it be imperfect. Trust me, the result will be worthy either way.
Instead of only accepting the "real" that were taught to us, it’s much more meaningful to find your own "real".
And if you ever have more questions or if something feels unclear, don’t hesitate to ask!
Hiii! I cant find anything abt letting go while shifting or entering the void or whatever... any tips? Besides relaxing and stuff cause I rlly struggle w that 😭 thanks! Have a lovely day!! And when do we get ur method?<3 just curious!
Hi anon! :)
Actually, the good thing is you don’t need to fully relax to shift or enter the void, but it helps, of course. I’d also recommend checking my other answer on this topic, you can rephrase the question in different ways like “how can I let go?” or “how can I relax?” the answers are already inside you. Personally, it all depends on you.
That said, I don’t do a ton of ritualistic relaxing techniques, I just finish whatever I need to do beforehand so I can be mentally clear. For example, if I haven’t replied to messages, I can’t relax, so before attempting to shift I reply to them. Or if there’s something important to do, I do that first. I might put on a favorite song, sometimes dance (it doesn’t have to be perfect!), whatever actually feels right and comfortable for you.
About letting go of the ego, I usually say something like: “I accept my feelings, I accept my doubts, I accept my negative thoughts, but these do not define me and they do not block my shift. I release all of these feelings.” One of my favorite daily practices is reminding myself that I am pure consciousness whenever it pops into my head I say “I am pure consciousness.” Even while writing or reading this, I notice it.
Try to do things intentionally rather than unintentionally. You can say “I am pure consciousness” aloud or in your head, and yes, meditation can help, but first, figure out what “meditation” actually means for you. For some people meditation is cooking, for others it’s dancing, and for others it’s the stereotypical silent breathing-in-a-posture thing. Find what meditation is for you.
When you start practicing those things and find what truly works for you, you’ll automatically feel more relaxed. And honestly, after a while you won’t even have to do anything, one day you’ll notice you’ve already let go.
What matters most is how you interpret and apply what I’ve shared in your own way. I can only share my experiences and beliefs, it’s up to you to make them your own. So even if it sounds cliché find your own way.
About when I’ll share my method, soon, I hope! I don’t want to rush it because I want to explain everything in detail and in the clearest way possible. I want it to make sense and be practical. I’ve gotten results applying it in different ways, and I want it to be usable for others too. The method isn’t only for shifting, it helped with astral projection, lucid dreaming, void state and shifting. That’s why I want to write every part carefully, include my personal experiences, and explain how to use it while staying in the state. I’ve started outlining the sections, but I want to post it in an organized way.
And nope, this isn’t gatekeeping, don’t worry! I’m just busy with life, but I’ll share everything as soon as I can. Honestly, I had doubts about whether it would work for others, but my friend shifting on her first try increased my hope for the method so much 😭 (method is not even a method) I’ll share her story soon too! It’s just hard to juggle everything at once.
If you ever have more questions or something’s unclear, don’t hesitate to ask!
