Okay but imagine Rivers childhood nickname used to be something like Stream/Pond -> Gentle, calm just like how he used to be, more introverted, not really involving himself with others, a bit shy and not very affectionate. And now after becoming a Trainee, he befriends Rain and Rain has ADHD, his love is like a torrent, an ocean of love that sweeps River away in it, he is always making gifts, making or doing little things just for River, simply cuz he feels the love so much, he needs River to SEE it and keep it. Now I can take it 2 ways: 1. River over time grows more confident, talkative, loud, affectionate and loves loudly just like Rain and Rain nicknames him something to do 'ocean/storm/Ocean of love' and its a perfect contrast to his childhood nickname. 2. River and Rain give each other nicknames that both connect to each other and also work for them individually, Rains love being more untamed, wild and strong, Rivers being just as strong and wild but strategic and controlled

River had written a full poem for Rain and taped it to the wall their bedroom but it's in Japanese (Rain was teaching Japanese to River for a year or 2 prior and that was Rivers first thing to write for Rain) and Razor could have just asked for its meaning or used Google Translate but he doesn't, he does his best to LEARN Japanese, atleast decent enough to read it and understand it himself.
