Its been a while lol, sorry bout that, been doing a loooot of work into all the oc's, they keep changing every time I add some new plot ideas into the mix xD
Anyway, I had this new idea between Azure and Axzyte and for context, the story follows all the members as they join and get to know each other and debut over the course of 4 and 1/2 years. Azure and Rixen are already there at opus in first year when Axzyte joins just a little while later.
Now I thought this would be a cute idea (*cough* heartbreaking *cough*).
So, I think over a few weeks, Axzyte becomes good friends with Azure and Azure is Pansexual, he gets attracted by Axzyte's bright always happy and super sweet personality and thats fine and all, he confesses some time later and....gets rejected, not cuz Axzyte didn't find him to be amazing and sweet too but because he was aroace.
Azure let himself fall so in love for Axzyte because he IS super lovable, Axzyte is the character I project 90% of my ADHD symptoms onto (he also has ADHD) and thus how I am irl is how he is too, online I used to be like the most popular, I would talk to EVERYONE and join all the games and events and if anyone was sad, I'd be there, making smth for them, gifting them stuff and being super lovable, irl I laugh a lot and talk about all kinds of things and definitely can keep a conversation going, which is exactly how Axzyte is too.
Axzyte is lovable because after getting over being shy and quiet due to the new environment and people, he's excited, he's happy, he loves the place and wants to be friends with whoever he can, he is talkative, he is agreeable (RSD lol), playful, helpful, gives compliments all the time, hyperfixates on making someone happy cuz if they become happy due to smth he does, its free dopamine for him. so basically he's like someone you'd really love and this is what Azure loves about Axzyte, what drew him in, he loves that Axzyte is so bright, always happy, always loving and so sweet.
Axzyte had to reject him however, he loved Azure deeply but it was platonic and that couldn't change (not true for all aroace's, there are other sexualities under this), instead they decided to stay best friends, they grew closer, Axzyte hated that he couldn't love Azure as he wanted and tried to make him happy by giving him all his love in all the ways he knew, sweet words, talking for hours, physical affection, gift-giving, time together, he already loved Azure and had grown so much closer with him, they became inseperable, where one was, the other was, Axzyte let Azure cuddle with him every night, he took out him out for 'dates' to parks, cafe's and more to make Azure happy (kinda important because Axzyte prefers familiarity and the outside is not familiar but tries for Azure, he does enjoy it too)
Axzyte spoke every love language to Azure and Azure felt deeply cherished, like a Glass Candy Rose (shh, I was trying to describe it and my mind said this, it sounds nice anyway lol), most actual couples likely didn't get to be so loved day in, day out and here he wasn't even in a real relationship with Axzyte and he got all of this, most people would get uncomfortable and push away if their friend was in love with them and yet Axzyte had chosen to pull him closer and love him more, but despite this, Azure did have a constant ache in his heart.
Every time he watched a drama, an anime or read a story with a couple, he felt the ache like a physical thing, he WANTED that for himself, with Axzyte, for their relationship to have that extra layer of love, it felt like having everything except the one thing he wanted most.
