You know what I love as a trope in media? Someone with healing power that hurts. That at the end of the day is gruesome. It's disgusting. There's something about defying a balance there that piques my interest. We have modern medicine but healing magic should be a lot more violent I think. To be able to do so much good should force them to do something grievous in exchange. Like a metaphor for caring so much that sometimes it does damage. Intricate architecture built over grounds of unjust slaughter. A pretty coffin hiding a rotting corpse. You can use the knife to slice through bandages and cut out arrows and perform surgeries but we must remember at the end of the day that that is still a weapon. Do you know what I'm trying to say?
