A couple where it is canon that one of them is trans (post transition) and the other is cis, but they refuse to specify which one is trans. The story never at any point specifies which one is trans

A parasitic codependent relationship but they’re both convinced that they are the parasite holding the other person back

character dynamic concept where A is the typical sunshine character and B is the morally grey character and they fall in love and stuff bla bla.

But then they get separated and A has to get really hard and mean to survive and ends up pretty much morally black meanwhile B thinks A is dead, and becomes nicer and stuff in honor of A, ending up light grey morally.

And then they meet again and are like ... you're not the person I fell in love with but I see me in you and you in me and I still love you

Very excellent trope when Character A is in charge of Character B in some way shape and or form and Character B is always causing chaos and getting into trouble and giving A headaches and then someone else becomes in charge and A finally gets to join B in on the fun. Bonus points if A is even more unhinged than B.
