Hi, hello. There’s a high likelihood someone already asked this at some point, but if you had to guess, what do you think is Hyde’s ‘embarrassing’ pet name for Jackie? I know ‘Angel Eyes’ is one theory (probably started by that one S8 redo fic?) It must be something romantic or cheesy. If it was something a la Hot Lips in MASH, he wouldn’t be embarrassed, I think… Even though he most likely wouldn’t use a name like that in front of others anyway.

The show probably intended it to be an OOC ridiculously saccharine choice for "the laughs," but my headcanon is grasshopper. Hyde canonically calls Jackie this name throughout "Cat Fight Club" (S2), and that episode is when Hyde first brings Jackie into the circle, making her a fully-fledged member of the basement friend group -- as Jackie, not as Kelso's girlfriend.
Grasshopper is grounded in canon. It's not a one-off like doll, which is older slang Hyde has used with others (not specifically doll but slang from the same era).
